    I wanted a ring pass so bad when I was in college. Not because I wanted to get married to my boyfriend... because I did NOT. I just wanted a ring pass. My cousin is about to be a junior at the same school in the same sorority and she's like 'I feel so weird because everyone is having a ring pass already and I don't even have a bf'. I'm like, hey, do you remember my crazy boyfriend in college? Yeah, trust me, you're not missing anything by waiting and holding out. I'm so lucky I didn't end up with that guy (nice guy, but kind of unmotivated and I mean WTF was 20-year-old me thinking????).
    He wanted to get engaged at the end of senior year and the day he said that was the day I realized I didn't want to be with him and broke up with him.

    It's this thing sororities do to celebrate a girl getting engaged.  You pass a candle around and the girl who's engaged blows it out (with all kinds of ceremony to it) and then everyone screeeeams.  I know they do it differently from chapter to chapter, because I pledged at one school and graduated from another, and those chapters had different candle passings.

    Carrie, true story -- I had one.  I was 19 and homeboy was CRAZY, but I was SO excited to pass the candle!
