Scary! I don't think I could ever drive in the snow. We may be moving to the East Coast (NYC?) for a year after H graduates. I am looking forward to getting rid of my car if we do.

I felt kind of lame after the recent thunderstorm incident but my coworker said she was on the phone with her mom almost crying too. She's lived here her whole life; I guess it's something you never get used to.

I remember driving home through the beginnings of Tropical Storm Allison, which ended up floodng quite a bit of Houston. It was so bad, even the azzholes that come out in the rain were driving carefully.

The scariest moment for me was when I turned onto my street, just over the cattle ranch down the street from my apartment complex, there was this HUGE funnel cloud, just rotating in the sky next to my car...the car I had myself, my infant daughter and my young niece in.

I'm driving as fast as I dare, and looking up, then looking at the street ahead, and praying "God, please let me get the kids into the closet before you let that thing touch down, please, please, please."

It didn't touch down, but I spent the night watching the waters roll past my building...the kids slept through it all.

EDIT: Break is over...I still have roughly 350 words to pull out of my ass for this stupid paper.

That's so cool, Bay. H is convinced they are winning because we are watching from home today. We went to a sports bar last week and they lost. He was seriously upset on the way home saying "I knew we should've watched at home". Lol.

hey all. my puppy is letting out lethal farts tonight so i'm wondering what she got herself into when no one was looking. That is the extent of my excitement!

I have also decided to look into making an orthopedic appt because I have had severe pain in the supra & infra spinatus muscles in my rotator cuff for almost 3 months now.

I've been rooting for the Kings since they took down the Canucks.

I saw this hysterical thing awhile back around the time that the Canucks got knocked out. Okay, might be a little offensive, but I cracked up. Thought it was one of the funniest things so far in postseason. (And I used to play hockey and totally didn't take offense to the "girls can't play hockey" tone, so, take with a grain of salt?)

Haha yeah Tory will do that too but Willow doesn't seem to have a care in the world about it. Stinky puppy.

Yeah, its been pretty brutal, Mica. At first I thought I just slept on it wrong but after repeatedly trying to avoid sleeping on it, and having shooting pains down my back/arm for months... and numbing feelings at times...I think its time to get it checked out. I literally have to stretch and rest my arm every 10 or so minutes at work.

MuSu, since we're twins, obviously I had the same kind of injury and i had it for about 2 months before I saw a doctor. I did 4 weeks of physical therapy and now it's pretty much completely better.

Right now my orthopedist is a tennis ball, haha!

Massage is the only thing that temporarily relieves the pain. By temporary I mean while there is pressure on it, and then it goes back to throbbing afterward. I have never been to an orthopedist before so I'm not sure what to expect.

i hope PT or something works. I have no idea why or how it happened. I don't exercise much right now and certainly didn't do anything to aggravate it (sudden lifting or movement, etc). Who knows. Good to know it feels mostly better for you, Angel!

Does anyone else own a magnifying makeup mirror? I got a new one during my bridal shower and I am so in love with it. But it has the most intense magnifier I've ever encountered. It makes me all paranoid that everyone else can actually see all these pores.

You didn't recently paint a room or do a bunch of repetitive movements, right? I hope PT helps. Maybe you can get a steroid injection to help reduce swelling.

I'm assuming you've iced your shoulder? That can reduce swelling so that your nerves don't get pinched as much.

I believe I had something similar a few years ago, and I was given an injection (corticosteroid? it was awhile back) to "grease it up" a little bit and assist with movement in the area. I know that I had PT but I don't recall if it was before, during, or after the injections. Either way, it never fully healed, and it still bothers me on and off. I hope that yours heals well.
