In Response to Re: Anyone around? : I didn't know that -  about the mouthing.  That's a valid concern.

Its just a tough age for the breed and requires a lot of attention and training.  Its when they would start to show real aggression if they were going to.  I could take care of it easy, and in just a few weeks, but a baby plus that isnt something i want to do.  Not that I dont trust the breed, because I absolutely do, and I have no concerns about Gia, but an 11 year old dog is a different ball game than a young pit.  Lost of energy to contain and lots of attention needed.

• Yes you are right.  Autumn is 6 1/2 - she will be 7 by the time the baby comes and for this breed 7 is considered a "senior" so i'm really not too worried about her.  A puppy with puppy energy - oof.  If H was home all the time I'd consider it, but since he's travelling 3 weeks out of 4, I'm not up for that solo.Even if there wasn't going to be a baby here in 7 months :).
• We do want another one, but timing is everything here, lol.

• Time flies.  I can't believe Autumn is almost 7.  It seems like we just got her.
• I sing her Yankee Doodle for her birthday.  Its fitting I would have a dog almost born on the 4th of July, lol

• Aw.. Duds.  He looks so sweet.  Maybe a puppy will cure your H's baby fever?  (didn't you say earlier you think he's got it?)
• Duds do it!
Star - your FIL's basement is no place for a baby and you don't want to be 7 months pregnant at your wedding!  Are you going to start trying as soon as you're married or wait a bit longer yet?
Posted by Loopyseven
Thanks Loopy.<div>We haven't figured that out yet.  I'd sort of like to start trying right away, but he pointed out that if we managed to get pregnant right away, I'd be due a couple of months into my first year of teaching.  That might not be the best timing.  I think we'll probably wait a bit and hopefully I'll be able to time things so that I'm due in the summer and don't need to miss work.</div>
