S/O If you could change anything...

Re: S/O If you could change anything...

  • I do not regret my dress, but I do regret not having the amazing gown seamstress do the alterations.  It fit fine, but I think it could have been amazing.

Our photos are great, but I wish we'd gone with someone more photo-journalistic and digital.  Sadly, digital was just coming out when we got married so we were leery and avoided it.  I hate not having digital copies of our photos.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: S/O If you could change anything... : Yeah... I had a bad experience at my first bridal salon -- the woman made comments about me being "plus-size" and how their samples wouldn't fit me.  So I just went to DB and figured...at least they had samples that fit me and I wouldn't be spending an arm and a leg.  But I had dress regret immediately, and although it fit perfectly and (at least I think) it looked good the day of, I do wish I'd really loved it instead of just thinking "well, this is fine."

Aw this makes me sad!  Did you have your bad experience at a shop in CT?  It's sort of a moot point now, but I had a friend who is plus size (she wears a size 22 or 24) and she was able to try on gowns at Mariella Creations in Rocky Hill.  She was so apprehensive about dress shopping and feared there would be nothing for her to try on but ended up having such a positve experience at Mariella's, I was so happy for her.
