I wore low 2 inch heels for all the professional pictures before the ceremony and took my shoes off promptly when we returned to the bridal suite to bustle my dress after the ceremony was over. I changed into platform sparkly flip flops for the remainder of the night. Nobody could see my shoes at all.

  • I wore wedges because I am only 5'1" and I didn't want to be heel-less at all, but there was no way that I wanted to trust even a "comfortable" pair of stilettos or shoes with a narrower heel for the whole day.

I ended up getting Franco Sarto  Harlow wedges in white and they were beyond comfortable.
  • I almost never where heels. My FI and I are almost the same height (hes a few inches taller we are tiny people lol) and for whatever testostrone driven reason he can't stand if I apear taller then him so I always wear flats. Which I dont mind because flats are my favorite type of shoes ^-^

  • I have a fairly high set of the heels for my wedding (I'm barely 5'3"), so I'm used to jacking myself up to get a few extra inches of height. However, I won't kid myself and say that I'll be wearing them all night.

So my plan is to buy a pair of Lace TOMS, to match my lace gown, for later on in the evening when my feet can't take the heels anymore. I've actually considered buying my WP a pair to match their dresses as well. My dress may drag a little since there will be a height change, but with the bustle I don't think it will matter too much. And you only wear it once anyways!
