TK isn't around for message boards, it's around for the advertising. And THAT is probably a pretty penny.

My newest complaint? I've eaten half of my Lean Cuisine and it is definitely NOT what I was hungry for. That's really annoying because I'm feeling really unsatisfied and that means I'm going to eat the small bag of chips I have in my cabinet.

Barbie, can I piggy-back your complaint? Rick's going to have to make 11 phone calls tonight, because I (stupidly) thought that people would have RSVP's back by now-our final count for tables and chairs is due on Friday. That's 22 people that are totally unaccounted for.

Cheesy grits are the bomb.

I have 3 bags of the best grits on earth - Callaway Gardens Speckled Heart Grits - in my freezer. Man, the first batch I made was heaven in a bowl. Hmm. Maybe I'll make some tonight.

1. whistling. I was waiting for takeout last night, and the cook behind me whistled while he did whatever he was doing. I hate whistling in general.

2. a coworker who cannot stay out of other peoples' offices, reminds me of Luna Lovegood, and sways back and forth when she talks. And she turns in everything late or just under the wire. Wonder why.

3. the feeling that everything is happening around you and you aren't part of it/ you're excluded in the workplace. It's scary. Why isn't it information we get to know?

I would like to complain about my moneysucking scumbag insurance company. They refused to lower our rates when local laws about rates changed, instead giving us "extra value" like free rentals after accidents, free roadside assistance, and so on. Except when you actually need it, then they can't confirm that you're entitled to it. Bastards.

I also hate that I need approximately eight billion signatures from people I've never met in order to be allowed to graduate. There really isn't some way to streamline this?

And I really hate that I don't have a start date for my new job, due to some paperwork delays. Thanks, guys. I basically got my husband fired by letting the company know we hoped to move in June, so as of June 1 we're both unemployed until further notice.

YES Barbie-I think it's probably my fault for sending out invites earlier than 8 weeks, but I was trying to be considerate for all of the OOT guests. I mean really though...it's stamped AND addressed.

As someone who works in the Technology field, I can tell you that 5 people can get a multimillion dollar eCommerce website up and running in about 10 months. To maintain the site it should only take 2-4 developers. For something like TK, it should not be that difficult...it's not like we are dealing with credit cards, etc. on the message boards (which are a lot more difficult than regular pages).

Any who...

1. I agree, Pink you shouldn't give her a dime

2. I haven't had grits in a really long time and don't remember whether or not I like them.

Aw, Opal that sucks

I hope you hear something soon. I know I've threatened it before, but for real this time, when our lease runs out in November, H and I are moving somewhere south. We're just going to do it, no excuses. And the whole job thing scares the bejeebus out of me.

I think I only have 1 for now. I have to go to the dentist tomorrow for some fillings, and they think one might need a root canal and a crown, after I just got another crown 2 weeks ago. Well, the difference between just being a filling and needing a root canal and crown is about $1300 out of pocket. And they won't know until they are in there. So unless they can tell me that they will just do the filling, I'm not having it done. Sorry, I just don't have $1,300 lying around, after the $550 we spent on my other crown. Not to mention it would also max out my dental for the year.

Oh wait, I have another one. This most recent watermelon I bought sucks. it's very disappointing because I love watermelon.

That drives me nuts!!!!

There's this secret committee at my company for this situation that I can't really talk about because it's on the DL, but everyone knows about it and who's on it. There are even announcements that the committee is now meeting in XX place in the building. However, we can't know what they know or see what they see! And really, it's only an informational committee so they can give their opinions on this situation. WHY CAN'T WE GIVE OUR OPINIONS TOO???? I've been giving my opinion, even if it's unsolicited. ::puts foot down::

Well I'm sorry you had a gain too. It's just that I thought I reached my highest already...and I've gained three since then. I know exactly why - I've been eating crap, drinking and not working out. I get so cranky when I want to work out and I can't.

Poor Opal. I hope things work out for you guys. I know how you feel about the whole job thing. I am scared that we aren't going to be able to make it on just my income until H finds a job. He keeps reassuring me that things will be ok since we aren't paying rent or utilities.

Why one earth do you need that many signatures in order to graduate?

Good Job to all of the girls who lost weight this week, the numbers are looking good! But no worries Andy and Jill, I am sure I will gain this week as well. I swear my scale was off last week so when I correctly weigh myself it will probably jump big time. And also the non dieting will help with the weight gain as well. Urghh..

</div><div>The signatures are all to make sure you've fulfilled every possible obligation you could have. You have to get one from the computer people to show that you've turned in your disks, you have to have another from the key office to show you've relinquished your keys, your advisor has to sign that they have a printed copy of your thesis. The list goes on. I even have to get cleared by the radiation protection office, which is weird because I've never had a dosimeter. </div>
