Some of FH's family speak only Japanese and so he will be translating our Save the Dates. But, he's told me that the phrase "Save the Date" is awkward when directly translated. He's not sure what the appropriate phrasing should be. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

i agree with monretta. chinese doesn't have a direct translation for it either
while we don't have save-the-dates yet, we have the text we'd like to use and we used "please remember the following date and location". we chose that over "mark the date" because we wanted a more casual feel to it.
