You're not invited to my wedding, and WHY would you assume your going to be a BM?! That's crazy.

    1. Game 3 of the World Series starts at 6:30 on Saturday. My wedding ceremony starts at 6:30 on Saturday. I'm worried that people are going to go next door to the bar, be huddled around their iPhones or even leave early to watch the game. Considering my FSIL (who is a BM) missed my bachelorette party for a Rangers game, I think my worries are justified.
    2. Long, long ago (like over a year ago), I told all the GM to just wear a black suit. That way they could either wear one they already had, or borrow one, so they didn't have to buy one unless they wanted. I was trying to make it easier for them! So why did Courts tell me last night that his best man rented a tuxedo?? He will be the only guy in the bridal party in a tux. Please someone tell me it's not going to look weird in the pictures and I'm overreacting. We have matching ties for the GM so surely that will help, right?

Anna - I think it will look fine.   So long as he didn't rent the one with the cumberbund thing they pretty much look just like suits nowadays.

I got a piece of glass in my foot last night in our kitchen.  I have no idea how it even got there.  It was a really tiny piece and it really hurt.  I thought I got it out of my foot, but its still hurting today.  I hope it didn't get pushed into my foot :-/

We bought a new recliner yesterday, came home and a spring came loose or something and half of it practically fell apart. We got a really good deal on it and it can't be returned. UGH.

Hee, Anna, my boss' wedding is Saturday and Ben is already scheming for ways to watch the game!

Sorry, that probably didn't make you feel any better.

But on another note, Ben's "tuxedo" just looked like a black suit--it should be fine.  No one will be looking at him anyway.

Our wedding was the day of game 2 ALCS and we had 10-15 people call us Thursday and Friday and tell us they weren't coming because of the Rangers game.  Our wedding was at 7 and the game started at 3.  Yes it was cutting it close but really you knew for a long time that you had plans to come to the wedding!  We still had a great turn out and it sucked that people cancelled for a baseball game (I'm a huge fan but wouldn't have cancelled) but the ones that wanted to be there were.  See if your DJ can give score updates, maybe that will help!  Our DJ even made a few announcements about the Rangers after the win!

    Anna,
Same thing here--Bill's tux looked like a black suit.

And, I have updates sent to my phone every time there is a score in the Rangers' game so I would only be glancing at my phone if it buzzed.  :-)  And I'll be doing that anyways since we're having the anniversary party this Saturday evening.  I don't think Arthur's has a TV.

Anna - Our wedding was during game 1 and people did check their phones more often, but we had the DJ do score announcements and it was fine.

I did have one person post on facebook that they were "at a stupid wedding reception and had to watch the game on a 3 inch phone screen...lame." Ironic since they weren't invited but came anyway, but oh well.

It will work out. You won't even notice the people who are game obssessed. You will be too busy having a good time with your other guests.

I missed half of my b-pics session yesterday because despite planning to be there 20 min early once I hit downtown, I saw 35 was closed down and caused a major traffic jam and then I spent about 10 min aimlessly driving around downtown Dallas while trying to find my way and losing reception on my Iphone/navigator.
I finally arrived there all flustered and super late BUT ( this is were the B&M takes a turn for the positive)... I am so glad that I did it! I hope that the pictures end up coming out well, but from what Chelsea showed me on her camera between shots, I am so excited to see my pictures.
I never thought I would do these pictures because I always felt like I was too out of shape and just weird doing it and ended up making the decision to do it last minute, and I am so glad that I did!
I definitely recommend all you ladies to do this...
PS- Angela I am sorry that it didn't work out for you to do it this time, but you should definitely consider it again for the future.

Kathy -  DH and I were 20 minutes late for church yesterday due to that same stupid problem.  I was furious...not that we were late..but that it was a complete nightmare.  If they are going to do that they need to have people directing traffic through all of those lights.

Arghh..so I feel your pain.  I'm glad you had a great time doing your pics though!

Tiffany -- Hope this week doesn't take you down!
Kathy -- Glad the pictures came out well! I don't think I could ever muster enough courage to do those.

I don't have a B&M. Things are good and I would love for them to stay this way.

My Lean Cuisine looks nothing like the picture, which leads me to my other B&M.  In order for me to avoid the gross cafeteria food, I usually cook except I have not been able to so I've been grabbing frozen meals from the store.  I'll be so glad when we are all moved in and life can resume and we eat at home more than we eat out.

Kathy, I'm so glad you had a good time! I bet your pictures are gonna be awesome!
I really wanted to do it and I am going to try again before the wedding if I have the money for a full session. If I don't I can always do it for an anniversary present!

Thanks guys, you're all right. Both the suit and the game situation will be fine.

But another big B&M has come up. Courts' groomswoman (the same one who said she couldn't make it to the rehearsal dinner because her husband has to work) posted on Facebook that a light came on in her car and it has to get checked out and they might not make it to Dallas this weekend. Mind you, she said this on her status, didn't even bother sending a personal message to Courts or me. I'm going to offer her some money to cover a rental car, but it pisses me off a little. If I agreed to be in a wedding party, I would do whatever I had to do in order to be there for my friend. I always had a feeling she would end up flaking out. I just feel bad for Courts that his friend is lame.
