I flame the lady at Target who was judging me because I had to buy one pair of Granny panties with CHANGE. I forgot my debit card lady and I have to get naked in front of a stranger tomorrow to try on dresses. I at least want my bum covered up.

I could tell you were judging me and that was not cool. Not cool at all.

I want to flame the people on Facebook who hate on people's tv choices. (Saw it a lot this week because it was premire week.)

I flame Comcast. All I want to do it watch Tech play every week but alas I must pay extra for the sports package channels. My parents have Uverse and they didn't have to pay for a sports package.

Go SMU! I really dislike TCU hehe

One more (and it's probably something many of you were thinking about but maybe couldn't remember).....

How many times are you going to ask us about churches that allow non-members to marry?  We've said what we thought but now YOU'RE going to have to do the legwork.

    Julie - I totally agree.

Also, why would you want to get married in a church if you are not religious and/or are unwilling to go through spiritual/faith based counseling?

I'm not judging anyone so please don't jump on me...but seriously why even bother getting married in a church if none of that is important to you?

Because a church will make a beautiful backdrop to the production that is my wedding, obviously.

My grandfathers 70th birthday is Monday and I haven't bought anything for him yet- I'm finding out he is SO hard to shop for now.  I did buy him 2 books to read during chemo if he gets bored but they weren't intended for his birthday.  Hopefully I'll find something this weekend or it will be chocolates from Candy Haven.

On the flip side of this... we're not religious.  And we don't attend church regularly, but I still fell in love with the chapel wedding, and really thought that it was the best idea for us.

Granted, we're not going through a church-church to get married, its a chapel with a great cause.
  • edited December 2011
Brianna -  I don't see anything at all wrong with a chapel.

I'm more referring to "why can't we get married at such and such <insert religious affiliation here /> church?" when we are not members.

I <em>definitely</em> agree with that.  I think it's kind of odd to get married in a church that isn't even your denomination.

But if you're going to do it, then you have to follow their "rules" and that's just the way it is.

    /end rant

OK - I've got one.  I know, I'm late in the game...

I know that we've talked about it before, but I flame "one-uppers" or "toppers" (as I think Tiffany called it)..

    Example:

Me:  "Man, I got pulled over this morning."

One-Upper:  "I got pulled over this morning by a cop that ended up  not being a cop, and then he frisked me on the side of the road, but when I left, I hit a bird.  And then I ran out of gas and hitched a ride here to work.  It was the saddest thing ever.  Can you believe how awful MY morning has been?"

    I give up.

I see your point...except a wedding is a celebration of two people getting married. I'm confused about what a trash the dress session is a celebration of? In fact, the first time I ever heard of one was a bride whose husband left her for the maid of honor. Like I said last week, I don't even oppose them when the dress isn't actually destroyed--it's paint, tearing, etc. that would rub me the wrong way.

I am doing a "TTD Bride/Groom" session. But basically it's not me trashing the dress. It's us being able to take pictures together without fear of me messing up my dress (like laying in grass, sitting on potentially dirty stuff).
Disclaimer: Please excuse the above comment. I'm probably freaking out because there is less than one month to go. Thank you.
