Kenneth Stillman Video

Hey knotties!

I'm considering hiring Ken Stillman as my videographer. I have only heard great things from friends. Has anyone here used him as a vendor? If so what package did you get? Were you happy with your final product?

Also his prices seem pretty set in stone, did anyone talk him down from his listed price points? Any info would be really appreciated.

    His prices are set in stone. When I tried to negotiate he didn't go down in the price but threw in the big show video for free since that wasn't in my pacakge. I got his only standard package that he had back in 2009 but he has then changed it. I didn't get married yet so I can't way whether or not I like it but I have seen his work and it's amazing. He does really good work for his price. My friend go married 2 weeks ago and I saw her Big Show and it was really good.

    The only thing is that he's tough to get in contact with and you won't get your entire video until at least a year later. But I hear from everyone that it's well worth the wait. I know two brides that got married last July and still haven't gotten their video yet.

    angel, you don't post unless it has to do with him either.  Maybe you ARE him??  Or one of his assistants?

    ETA:  BoldHart, I was not criticizing you at all, really.  It just seems that we get posts about him everyday on this board concerned with how long he takes to deliver his videos.

    Hi ladies,
    Not sure if you've made up your mind on Ken but I actually married a videographer and although i'm obviously biased, i think his work is great and reasonably priced.  we didn't have our own wedding video taped b/c at the time we didn't find anyone who suited our style and was at a price point we could afford, hence we started our business.

    Actually, I wasn't posting ABOUT you... I was posting TO you.. : ) 

    I agree that vendors should not be posting... but I think we should keep or opinions on vendors to ourselves, and let other brides (like musicheals) make their minds up themselves... to each their own...

    Dear Kenneth Stillman:
    On behalf of the members of The Knot, please stop polluting the message boards that are meant to assist brides and grooms during a very stressful and overwhelming planning process.  Everyone knows that you are a fraud, using fake accounts and sending agents to spread your verbal diarrhea.   We are tired of reading your KSV message threads everyday, which you are obviously creating yourself.  Why don't you use that time to actually finish the work that people have paid you good money for. I would heed this advice, as your senseless marketing strategies on these message boards are no doubt having a negative impact on your business.  I for one would never consider you as a videographer at this point and would tell everyone I know who even mentions the word "videographer" to stay far, far away from you.  It seems your minions have also taken to breaking other rules - like harassing other posters...now that can't be good for business.  Leave us alone.  Thank you.

    And musicheals, you're not helping the situation at all.  Who appointed you chief police of the Knot?  Don't pay these people any attention and they will go away on their own.  Knot members are not stupid.  They know how to read between the lines.

    It's not hard to see the backstory...you've posted over 4,000 times on every subject there is and you police every message board I've been on.  Maybe your problem with my post is that someone actually has an opinion other than you.  Thanks for being so lovely to a new fellow Knottie.

    aaaaah I just read all of this! I promise I am not Ken Stillman! I've actually chosen to go with someone completely different because of all the bad reviews. Thanks to those who did answer my questions about him, I appreciate it

    BoldHart,  I'm glad that someone was able to have a positive experience from this board!  I wish you all the best:)  We will be looking for a videographer soon, who did you go with?  Keep us posted on that experience!


    Musicheals, "Go Away?" That's funny....I'm sure that is what everyone else would like to say to your egotistical behavior.  It is strange that you continue to try and bully me out of discussion.  Seems like you may have "control" issues which are normally generated from lack of control in other aspects of ones life.  Perhaps bossing people around on the knot fullfills your inferiority complex.  Good Luck with that!

    I am convinced Kenneth Stillman is a scam artist.  His company runs the same scam many contractors do.  He takes project after project collects the money and doesn't complete the work and doesn't respond to messages and emails.  A year and a half is a ridiculous time to wait for a video.  My sister got married in November 08 and has not received her video from Kenneth Stillman yet.  That is 21 Months ago.   

    Here are some fun facts:
    The Empire State Building was built in 14 months
    The Pentagon was built in 16 months

    I wouldn't reccomend Kenneth Stillman. My wedding was over a year ago. I still haven't recieved my video and have called or e mail him 20 times since January with NO RESPONSE!! This isn't acceptable. There are plenty of affordable talanted videographers out there who are professional and courteous.
