  • I loved when they were splashing the different colors on her dress.  It looked like tie-dye :)

[QUOTE]That makes sense, MUNI. I don't think I ever actually saw Sleeping Beauty in it's entirety. I didn't see very many of them in theatres, just when they came out on VHS and my parents bought them for us.

Blasphemy I tell you!  Sleeping Beauty rocks!  I couldn't wait to the get the DVD when it came out.

<div>I wish my Aurora dress was mid-color change.  That would be awesome.  I'd wear that one around the house while washing dishes and shhit.</div>
  • I just saw that Madagascar 3 is coming out. I have to see that.

  • We rarely went to the movies, but I do remember going to see Aladdin.  The local park at home would show movies on a big screen a few times over the summer and I remember going to see some Disney movies there.
  • The first movie I actually remember going to see at the theater was a double-feature showing The Neverending Story and The Muppets Take Manhattan, but I think my mom has said we went to the movies at least once before that.
  • Ahhh, Peter Pan! I remember now. It's been a very, very long time. I've never been a huuuuuge fan of Disney, except all the restaurants at Epcot, haha. Also, I guess the Alice in Wonderland movie was pretty good. :D

Not yet. I'm going to try to find a way to work it into conversation sometime this weekend, though... I'll update you all after the convo :)

  • Hey ladies.  I had to google what movie Aurora was from.  Clearly I'm lacking on my princess knowledge.

i just put mine and H's bikes back together since the movers had taken the wheels off and the brakes were screwed up.  Then I put the new lawn mower together and pulled a shitton of weeds.  It's fucking hot out today.  Once H goes to bed soon I think I'm gonna go put air in my tires and go for a bike ride.

  • The first movie I *remember* seeing was Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but I'm certain I saw other movies before that.  I remember because my mom was SO mad that my friend's parents took me to see that.  She was super strict about what I watched.
  • My grandparents' cat's name was Tinkerbell.  I don't know what in the world prompted my grandfather to give her that name, but it's prompted me to want to name any future pets after Peter Pan characters.
  • Snail, if you don't get your fucking tiered cake I'm going to find out your FI's name and order it for you in his name so that you have it.

  • Man, how often do they re-release Snow White? I definitely didn't see it in 1983...I was born in '83.

Okay, I just checked.  It was re-released in 1987, so I was four, not six.

  • Strlz, I love The Muppets Take Manhattan! It's my favorite Muppet movie. I dragged FI to see the Muppet movie that came out last winter. It was pretty sweet.

  • I like the name Tinkerbell a lot better for a cat than for a dog. That is cute.

I really like the name Wendy just in general. I think it's so cute, and it grows up well.

    <div>Word.  I'll help you do the research.</div>
  • Snail, why doesn't your FI want a tiered cake?
  • I remember going to see Roger Rabbit as well.  It was expensive to take 3 kids to the movies, so my parents preferred the local drive in, but even then, we were lucky if we saw a movie once every other summer.  I think we only saw Aladdin at the theater (and The Prince of Egypt now that I think of it) because it was a Christmas gift from our aunt & uncle.

Wendy is my girl name for a pet.  I mentioned it once to my sister and she didn't even have to ask where I came up with it.
  • We almost never went to the movies. Literally the only movie I remember seeing as a kid was the Hunchback of Notre Dame when I was 10. I didn't even like it, I don't think, as I never had an urge to watch it again. If I saw movies before that, I really don't remember. Wait, I lied. I saw Homeward Bound when I was 7, but that was only because a friend's mom took us.

Just for the cost. It's either $1 or $2 more per slice for a tiered cake vs. a sheet cake.<div>
</div><div>But... it's so pretty, and I want to save the top for our 1-year anniversary.</div><div>
</div><div>I think I'm definitely going to grow a spine with this one, so at my reception I can look over at the cake table and say, "That right there is a physical representation of SNAIL WINNING."</div>

  • Eagles- Snail has let her FI get his way on many things for the wedding as long as they don't break etiquette.  The tiered cake is something she has dreamed of, but he wants to do sheet cakes so that they can also do late night snacks for people.  We are insisting that she put her foot down on this and get her tiered cake.
    imageBabyFruit Ticker
  • Oh, splurge on the cake.  It's the one time you get to have a cake this big and fancy if you want it.  Just eat the cost.

    Literally.
