Hi Ladies!

i thought i'd just be cheese-tastic and post an intro thread over here since I've posted but haven't directly interacted with any of you really. I kinda feel like the new-kid, standing on the edge of the playground hoping someone will invite me to play tetherball.

I'm Anna, I've been kicking around these boards for a little while now, from Sioux Falls in South Dakota, married, I love cake and running and if anyone ever figures out how to combine the two.. please let me know.

I think I should be mod. I would ignore the board for weeks at a time and then post for a day or so. Oh. And I would post a lot at 6 am. That's all it really takes, right? And the fucksandshitsandassholes. I say those a lot. That's not frowned upon. Is it?

Anna, I've been reading (lurking!) some of your cooking/menu posts. Awesome.

Heck, theres only two of us this year for Christmas dinner (our first Christmas we've been able to spend together) and I'm taking it easy on side dishes but still making turkey, ham and stuffing. Just having normal mixed veg and roasters on the side.

If you'd like any british recipes, let me know (I've been asked for cottage pie a lot lately.. people here can't get enough of it lol).

I've got a pretty good cottage pie and my yorkshire puds are on the money but I'd die for a lovely meat pie recipe. Something savory and ridiculous that i can smother in HP sauce. We always just bought them at the butcher shop when I was young so never learned to make them. My favorites were mutton, thick, lots of spices, and round with a crust lip on the top so that the HP sauce wouldn't drip out.
