How is your personality different than it is on the boards? How is it the same?
I don't really think it's much different. But, I do think more people irl get my sense of humor.

It's Monday morning. What are you wearing? If I'm working from home, it's pjs. If I make the trip into the office, it's probably a dress because it's stupid hot outside.

It's Friday night. What are you doing? Because it's summer, usually I'm cooking something for some type of gtg on Saturday. Other than that, begging FI to order in so I can sit on my arse in my pj's and do nothing.

THIS Friday, I intend to stay in and read. I ordered Seshat's book (the first one) and it was delivered today, so I can't wait to start reading it! BTW I ordered from Amazon and FI said when he opened it, it was an autographed copy

personality in real life. (Because this is, pretend life?) I'm a good listener, empathetic, sensitive, and impatient. I'm also very honest and very self-aware. I have a lot of friends and keep myself fairly busy. I don't like kids or dogs. I love horses and cats.

How is your personality different than it is on the boards? I'm more likely to be blunt and honest with someone IRL than I am on here. I've just started ignoring people I can't stand on tk. Internet biitches aren't worth the same effort as biitches IRL.

How is it the same? I am willing to give unpopular opinions, I'm caring, I love to help people, & I ignore people who aren't worth my time. I love to crack jokes and I enjoy interacting with new people and networking.

Edit: Oh, and I refuse to associate with people who are rude and lack empathy/enjoy hurting others.

hmm in real life it definitely takes me awhile to warm up to people. However once I warm up- I think I tend to say exactly what I think, I am overly loud and outspoken.... I also tend to be sarcastic and mildly pessimistic.

On here- I started out being sweet and nice about everything... I am slowly warming up now though and I far prefer just saying what I would say IRL.

It's Monday morning. What are you wearing? during the semester- jeans and a shirt for class.. or leggings and a dress.... During the summer- slacks and a blouse, a suit or a skirt and blouse... work work work.

It's Friday night. What are you doing? Usually relaxing. Sometimes out for dinner and drinks but more often crashing. During the school year.. I am often still studying too...

personality in real life. (Because this is, pretend life?) I like to think that I am a generally nice person. You can put me in a room full of stranger and I'd be fine. I can be very bitchy but it really depends on the person.

How is your personality different than it is on the boards? On the boards I think I tend to tone down my bitchiness.

How is it the same? I try to engage most of the other knotties and tend not to write any of them off when they post something that I don't like or find tacky.

How is your personality different than it is on the boards? How is it the same? Im not sure how much of myself translates through. I am very sarcastic and make a lot of exasperated comments IRL (when I drive, stuck in lines, out in public when people piss me off). I am kind of loud and boisterous, and to be honest a bit of a bum. Im quite friendly in person though, I like to make conversation with random strangers. I am pretty funny IRL, in so much that my husband and mom are always laughing at jokes I make or things I say. Im even funnier when im drunk too, I have been known to sing and dance in performace when I drink.

I am super shy in real life, which is why I have very few friends. I'm horrible at small talk and never know what to say to strangers so I feel like I'm always surrounded by akward silence. Once I'm comfortable around people I'm really bubbly and always optomistic about life. At work I'm known as "the peppy one" and teachers always request me to do the computer trouble shooting because I stay positive no matter what and don't make them feel dumb.
I actually had to be forced (in a good way) to go to the DC g2g last December because of my shyness. As the day got closer I kept trying to chicken out and the girls kept saying "No, you are coming". I had a blast but almost puked from nerves on the drive over to Mandas.

Edit: I don't think I'm that different, but I'm definitely more blunt here than real life. I cannot be mean to people without feeling bad, even if they deserve it, so I keep all the mean thoughts in my head.

Monday morning - work out clothes. I try to work out in the morning now because otherwise it won't get done

Friday night - pajamas. I'm old like that.

For the most part my views and opinions are the same...pretty consistant between boards. Online as opposed to "real life" I think I can be more brutally honest onlinet....I am the person that even if someone ticks me off/kicks me when I am down and I can be a bitch - normally I back down.

Odds are I a fried so I am on the couch - however this Friday the FI is renting a plant so we are going to fly around (yay!)

My personality IRL is pretty much the same as it is on the boards. I'm usually pretty nice, but if you say something incredibly stupid or hypocritical, I'll call you out.

Usually, go out to dinner with FI, then come home and lounge around, watch a movie. Occasionally have a couple drinks with a friend.

Roxy- I angry cry too. I think its because anger is my strongest emotion. I get hot in the face and my hands shake too.

I stutter when I am nervous.

I'm different. I'm cautious to what information I'm giving out on the web/forums versus with friends that I interact with daily. I'm quieter in real life instead of being outgoing on the boards.

How is it the same though - I type with semi-correct text, instead of with no spell check, or slang going out the door. I'm polite, and formal for the most part until a particular topic gets on my nerves.

It depends on the Friday, and the deadlines I face, I'm still at work. If not, I'm home trying to catch up with HH, and plans for the weekend. This year has been ultra-busy though, with weddings, birthdays, events that take me outside of the state, and then vacations. :)

How is your personality different than it is on the boards? How is it the same? Much like 80% of PP - outgoing, sarcastic, highly opinionated in both worlds. On the boards I am probably more of a know-it-all because I just can't help typing word vomit when I think I have an answer (which I almost always do, though it's not always the right one.) In person I do better at checking myself and worry about sounding too bossy. Though my friends do make fun of me for being "the mother hen." Like Charlotte in SATC.
Also IRL, I am much more attentive to grammar and spelling. I don't know if it's the boards or just my computer but for some reason I end up with a ton of unintended grammatical errors and spelling mistakes in my posts. Then I reread them and it's highly embarassing.

personality in real life. (Because this is, pretend life?) Actually, I'm a lot like Blue (shy and private). I'm an excellent listener and secret keeper (i never slip about anything). I'm loyal and I do what I say I'm going to do and I hold my friends to the same standard. Flake out on me twice (without an excellent excuse) and we won't be friends. People think I'm really nice (which I am) but sometimes people also think I can be really snobby (which I am).

How is your personality different than it is on the boards? I'm more open to saying whatever I'm thinking on here. IRL I'm more deliberate and careful about what comes out of my mouth.

How is it the same?
I try to always speak respectfully to others even when I disagee.
