    Those ladies are cray-cray.

My TV is still broken and I'm pissed.  Bought a brand new LG LCD last year in august and it crapped out on my wednesday night and I won't be able to get it fixed until monday afternoon at the very earliest.  Just give me a new TV, or a refund so I can buy a better new TV.  Geeze.  Why can't they make anything that lasts?

I have the first flatscreen ever in existance in my bedroom and there's nothing wrong with it.  Electronic companies suck.

  • Even though birds terrify me, I like your sig, Habs.

Also, I might like to work with Aragx and her vain doggie.
  • Habs your sig is really cute!

Gosh there is some type of hang up getting me on H's health insurance and mine just went up to $300 a month and I just cannot afford that!

I have a friend like that.  He breaks things just by touching them.  He's broken two DVD players, a TV, his computer, and a cell phone to date.  His doctor said that he has ridiculously high iron levels in his blood, and that may be what is causing it.

    Hi everyone,

I'm worried about my mom.  She had been sick (thought she had the flu) but turns out it was something else and she just joked about it in her last email to me.  She told me her kidneys/liver were on the verge of shutting down and just says lol after that statement.

:(  Sometimes that's how people register fear or anxiety.  Or she may be trying not to worry you.  Is she in the hospital?

I'm so sorry that could be really serious, what kind of treatment is the doctor doing for her?
    image
  • Beanie, that's how I am! My mom drove her car for years. I have it for one year and it's in the shop 4 times. I mean it's old, but 4 times? I have ridiculously low iron, though Bay. But that's interesting that his doctor suggested that as a possible reason.

Rsanna, I'm the same way as your mom. She is probably scared but trying to make light of the situation and not concern you too much. Did she mention treatment? Maybe you could visit her for a weekend.

She didn't say. I know she has some health issues but I don't know all of the specifics.  To make it even worse she said that if they didn't catch it when they did that she could have gone into a coma.  She isn't in the hospital though, they caught it before it hit that point thankfully.  It is just kind of discerning.

Bay, I think that is what she is doing, which is also why I am partially clueless on the whole situation.

Aryn - We are actually going up this Sunday for lunch to see her and my dad for Father's Day.  She doesn't tend to accept help much, so if I ask her if I can make anything or help with anything, she will tell me no.  I just feel a little helpless.

Prayers for her, my mom is the same way. One weekend I stayed at H's house overnight and when I came home the next day I found out my mom had gone to the ER for her blood pressure and had almost had a stroke. I understand what you are going through and feeling helpless. All you can do is try and be there for her as much as she'll let you.

  • Button, Samsung makes a really great indoor grill.  I highly recommend it if you can't have an outside grill.

Reading up on the thread, congrats Stacks!  That has to be awesome to win a new grill.

  • Morning. My mom woke me up vacuuming and I was in the middle of kind of a bad dream, so I woke up with anxiety. Hopefully that goes away soon. Not much going on today.. probably cleaning and at least looking at some of the job listings on care and sittercity. I'm not made to be broke and unable to shop ;)

Rsanna, I hope your mom is okay. My mom got in an accident the other day and hit her head and didn't seem to take it very seriously either.

Stacks, congrats on the grill. FI thinks he's really good with the grill, and he's fine, but he definitely wouldn't win a contest. He hasn't quite figured out how to cook the inside without burning the outside, which I don't even get since I like the inside of my burger to be pink.

  • Nicki, that's awesome.  I hope he gets flooded by calls.

I think I would just call and say "vagina, vagina, vagina" and then hang up.  Because I am mature like that.

There's one job that looks pretty promising, she just has to go in and meet the head boss guy, but he's constantly traveling so it's hard to get her in. She's hoping to have a job in a few weeks, but she has 2 vacations planned in July, so I can't imagine her starting and then taking 2 weeks off in a month. We'll see... ideally, I'd love to find something that's just temporary or even just occasional sitting for right now so I can give her a little more time without bankrupting myself.
