Since yesterday was mother's day, let's make it a theme for today's post:
1. How is your mom involved in planning the wedding with you?
2. How is your MIL involved in the planning?
3. How are you involving them in the actual ceremony/reception?
4. Any mom drama to share/vent about/to make us laugh?
5. If your mom/MIL is no longer with you, are you planning to honour them somehow on your special day, and how?
6. Did you do anything special for your mom/MIL this year?
7. If you, yourself, are a mom, how was YOUR mother's day?
I'll post this on the Toronto Board as well!
Re: GTKY Monday
My mom hasn't been that involved. She came to the menu tasting with me and my FI and she came with me when I went to pick up my wedding dress & to my first fitting.
Again, not that involved. She came with me when I went dress shopping once.
My mom and my MIL will both be doing a reading at our ceremony.
Not really! There hasn't been much drama - I attribute that to them both leaving me to make my own decisions about the wedding!
Not applicable.
Not really.
Not applicable! (YET!)
She lets me make all the decisions while giving her advice and insight. She's a very wise lady and I value her opinions.
2. How is your MIL involved in the planning?
Not much because she lives out of the country. If not, I'm pretty certain she would have the same attitude my mom has.
I'm planning on doing a surprise mom dance.
Actually my mom had a momzilla moment. We went to get her and my MOH's dresses and my mother dearest told my MOH that she couldn't get a certain dress because SHE was wearing a dress that color. It was hilarious.
They both are, thank god. I couldn't imagine that day without having my mom with me.
Not really
Not a mom yet....by next mother's day I'm hoping to be a mommy-to-be. We'll see.
She's not, she doesn't even seem to care about my wedding.

They're still alive and involved in Fi and my lives
Had them over for dinner and gave them the night off.
7. If you, yourself, are a mom, how was YOUR mother's day? Not yet!
