Gift for parents

Looking for ideas for what to get our parents as a gift to give them at the rehersal dinner. would love to hear what other people gave their parents as a thank you. My parents are paying for the entire wedding minus the rehersal dinner so I would like to get them something really nice. I love hearing other people's ideas...

Re: Gift for parents

  • As part of their gift I'm giving the mothers embroidered handkerchiefs that say something like "tears of joy" and thank you, love Aperitisa, etc.  I think for the fathers we are going to give monogramed handkerchiefs.

    I like the handkerchief idea.

My mom loves body lotions and perfums, etc.  I think I'm giving her a TON of smelly stuff.  She will be overjoyed.  Additionally, she'll be given an album, etc.

FI's mom loves pictures - so, we're getting her a nice multi-photo picture frame with a myriad of pictures of us, etc.

We're still thinking of what to do for the dads.
  • I got my mom a ring with my finace and my birthstone in it, and I got my dad an engraved watch.
  • My mom and stepdad got a gift certificate to their favorite hotel, my dad got a gift card for Southwest Airlines, and my FIL and SMIL got a gift card to a restaurant they visit frequently.

    It's just a gift.  Don't overthink it.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
