Wedding Invitations & Paper

RSVP meal choice Q

We are inviting only certain children, which some people might frown upon.. but direct/immeditae family's children are invited, but extened family's (cousin's, old friends, etc) children are not. If they have a particular circumstance going on we might be flexible..  We just cannot accomodate a million kids.

On the RSVP, we have a place for guests to write their meal choice, being chicken, beef, or veg. For the kids that do attend, we do have a children's meal available. Should we put that down as an option on the RSVP? or should we leave it out and address the families whose kids are invited personally, such as over the phone?

  • Maybe add an insert in their envelopes.

I'd leave it off.  Do you have someone on the RSVP for them to indicate the number of guests coming?  If so, can't you tell by that how many children?

  • I am doing meal choices and the only children invited are our nieces and nephews. I plan on emailing our siblings when the invitations go out letting them know that their kids will be getting kids meals and to just mark meal choices for the adults.

  • I'm so afraid if I did inserts and I accidently messed one up, and then someone gets the wrong insert, could be messy..

Yes, on # of guests, I guess I could just count it out.. easy enough. I'll probably call or e-mail just so they know that the kids will be getting something different.

    Thanks girls!
