I'm really nervous to go pick up my car tomorrow from the shop. The crankshaft sensor was broken so they have to replace it but I am hoping the repair is under $100. I seriously cannot deal with all this car fixing crap. I HATE THIS STUPID CAR.

I don't know WHAT I'm going to get H for V-Day. I always tell him to not get me anything, and he always done (I know, terrible problem to have), so I should probably do something for him this year.

The mechanic is one that my grandpa has been using for years (and my grandpa is like, a super big asshole to customer service places because of how picky and perfectionist he is) so they will not screw him or his family over. So I trust them. But I just paid over $600 in repairs last week, and this car should not be really having these issues at its age. I just think it has a bad omen on it.

KJB - I kinda skipped H's birthday last month... Talked to him on the phone but no presents or even a card or anything. Wife fail.. He was home the whole week before and we went for a nice dinner and he was supposed to leave the Friday before his b-day but ended up staying until the day of his b-day but we were so busy I just didn't even think about it until he was kinda mad about not getting any acknowledgement of his day.

FI now understands that I expect a card. If nothing else, I need a card. Cards are important to me.

For my birthday one time he gave me a diamond necklace and took me out to dinner. I looked at him toward the end of the night and asked if he got me a card. I felt bad for wanting a card after everything but he had gotten me one.

I'm with you Petals, once FI didn't get/make me a card for my birthday. I was so sad I mentioned it a couple times. He finally made one that said happy birthday this is 151 days late, this will never happen again! I don't care if it's homemade and scribbled I appreciate a card. It's funny because his mom will send multiple cards. We got engaged and she got us a card and sent it (to me, so cute) and then wanted to get a nicer one? so sent a second card.

Ok I just breathed a slight sigh of relief. I remembered that I have a 60,000 mile warranty on my car and I checked my warranty paperwork. Crankshafts are covered, yay! I have a $100 deductible but hell if the repair is more than $100 I'm totally gonna make the warranty cover it.

FI's family is very big on cards and he neglected to tell me they would all be expecting Christmas cards. Guess who's family doesn't send out cards? This girl. I had to assure them that next year they would have a card from us.

My last car died at a little over 130k.

This car is creeping up on 60k which is crazy to me that when I bought it, it only had just about 30k on it.
