Morning. My spring break starts today too! But report cards are due Monday when we get back so that's what I'll be doing. I have a crazy, horse filled weekend and my sig pic horse is headed to tune up training on Sunday. I actually get to show this year! I need to read HG. I keep putting it off until I have time to read them all at once.

FMIL is reading Hunger Games, and then I get the book. Hopefully I can read it before the movie is out of theaters. It looks like one of those movies that is going to be better watching on the big screen.

Good morning! I think I might go see the movie myself on Monday if I can't convince anyone to go with me. MK and I talked about going together but we haven't talked more about it and I'll probably be impatient with this movie and want to go soon.

I think I might reread the book first. It's a rainy weekend here so I might as well.

Blueberry pancakes are amazing. There's on breakfast place around here though that decided they wanted to be different. Instead of putting the blueberries in the pancakes, they made a blueberry syrup.

It's so not as good and you can't put maple flavored syrup on them then. I was really disappointed when they came to the table.

Good morning everyone!

I took yesterday off to care for Cheyenne. She is doing a lot better, but it was rough going there for a while Wednesday night. I didnt sleep much, so I'm pretty exhausted, but my boss actually came over and visited with us (she played with Ada, which was great since I couldnt pay as much attention to her as I usually do) which was great. I'm a little irritated with FI- Cheyenne really prefers him more than me and he hasnt been super helpful since he got home from WV yesterday afternoon. I think she just needs a little love from him and, to be fair, he had such a great time at the training that I'm sure he didnt want to come home to a sick kitty and sleepy-cranky woman.

I hope this doesnt offend, but I feel like the mother who goes back to work after maternity leave. I miss my kitty and just want to be home taking care of her. Instead of dealing with people who leave me SIX MESSAGES on my voicemail complaining that they have left six messages even though I had an "I am out of the office" voicemail set up.

They do call them blueberry pancakes, but in all fairness, the description does say that they are pancakes topped with blueberry syrup. I asked for the syrup on the side, figuring the pancakes would have actual blueberries in them, but alas, it was exactly as read on the menu.<div>

Also, I wish it were spring break. And that there were pancakes. There's a new-ish breakfast joint by my place that has red velvet pancakes. I've heard they're delish but I never get them because I'm afraid they'll be too rich or something. But OMG, red velvet.

I re-read HG when we were on vacation in January. H has been talking non-stop about seeing the movie. If he wasn't working 8 AM - 12 AM tonight, I think we'd probably be trying to go today. He's even more excited than I am.

I want to read HG before seeing the movie, but H and I are still reading Girl with a Dragon Tatoo before we see that movie. Which is definitely out of theaters now.

I'm going clothes shopping after work. I'm kind of dreading it. I'm having a wardrobe crisis. I have no good spring/summer work clothes (except for dresses) since I've lost weight. I have about 3 shirts that I really like right now and I've just started wearing them over and over. So much of my wardrobe is old stuff from high school/college or stuff I've bought on clearance and now I recently decided that I hate most of it.

My problem is I really don't know what I'm looking for, which is why it could turn into a very frustrating shopping trip...

I LOVE pancakes. I think that mostly stems from the fact that my dad would make them for us as kids every sat. morning.

He would make them as big as the plate, and would always give them to us hot off the griddle. It is one of my favorite memories as a kid.

Any time we stay at my parents house, I always make my dad make pancakes in the morning.

Blueberry syrup, while amazing, should not be advertised as blueberry pancakes. Cracker Barrel makes some amazing syrup.

Beanie--

I generally hate blueberries in everything, including raw, except pancakes. The sweetness of the syrup that you put on the pancakes evens out the tartness that I don't really like about blueberries.

A local custard place makes Red Velvet frozen custard and it is awesome! There's cream cheese frosting swirled throughout the custard. OMG. Now I want some. I think it's their flavor of the day on Monday...

I sure am! It might be my favorite thing about MKE. H and I went for burgers and custard on Sunday and got birthday cake custard. Cake batter flavored custard with sprinkles, yellow cake pieces, and frosting all swirled together.
