    I understand what you're saying, but I'm going to have to agree with Meg.  If you don't like them, you can't tell her not to wear them....but you CAN burn them, or sell them at a garage sale for .25 cents.

    Not everyone owns dress shoes. I think it is a little demanding to say she NEEDS to buy dress shoes. She should be comfortable.

    She sounds horrible. my fiancee's mother dresses in flannel shirtts and moomoos. we had an outfit selected for her and we're paying for it, she just has to get sized. why not just pick out something fo her to wear. its your wedding and she should look presentable.
