Happy Monday to my northern friends!! FI and I both have the day off so who knows what's in store for the day. Right now, I'm watching Father of the Bride while FI and Riley are snoozing.
At work, but im on such an adrenaline rush. I have a lot of work to complete before i leave for a couple days in NJ. We also have a wedding tonight, so i need to leave work early, run home to shower and change for the wedding then off to a couple days of shopping and concerts!
I read a couple books this weekend. And some volutneering. But other than that, all I've really been doing is studying for the LSAT which is now one week today
Good morning! FI and I just got back to Boston, after a week of running around. Last Tuesday-Wednesday, we went to Maine to scout our venue/caterer. We were in Boston last Thursday, then we went to his mother's for the night. Then we went to my mother's house in NY from Friday-yesterday. Then we went back to FMIL's house last night (on the way back to Boston). This morning, she drove us back into Boston.
Sooo...now we're sorting enormous piles of laundry from the time we were gone, cleaning the messy house, etc. I've got a 2nd interview today to be a server in a restaurant over the summer (and make extra money, since my legal internship is unpaid.) So, I'm preparing for that.
Oh, and at some point, I plan on having sexy time with FI...and taking a nap.
FI and I hung out in the hot tub at his apartment a few times this weekend. Today, we're probably going to have a date night, however we suck at thinking of new ideas that don't involve dinner, a movie, cuddling... etc. Any super awesome ideas? Something outside would be best because it's supposed to be super nice out later.
Hope- go on a romantic walk somewhere, hike, make him dinner? or the other way around, go window shopping, go real shopping. Hmm I ran out of ideas. I am at work all day. Which sucks cause BF had it off (lucky). We might be going to a BB&Q tonight at my parent’s house, though only if there is still food, lol. Other then that IDK. Nothing fun really is planned.

Sunday shopping for furniture, like I have for the past month. I was hitting my breaking point and no longer enjoying the process when we walked into a outlet store in a mall about an hour from here. We were like kids in a candy store. I tallied up $3000 worth of stuff I wanted just walking through the door, then I walked farther back and discovered that the store was about 4X the size I thought it was.
I think we hit the jackpot. We still ended up not buying anything. Mostly because I refuse to buy anything over $50 without sleeping on it. We're probably going back Sunday to buy a couch, loveseat, entertainment center and pool table. (All together around $2300, the best deal we've found for this quality.)
I'm working today. My boss just got back from a two-week vacation. He walked by my office and said that he did get my e-mail. (My two week notice.) And we can talk when he gets back from having his Jeep washed. Wish me luck.
My weekend was alright, I am so done with having FI be away.
There was a festival in my town this past weekend, which was nice but also boring because FI wasn't there. A bunch of local artists were exhibiting their work, which was pretty good. One artist likes to sculpt animals and makes them pretty much life size. Molson (my dog) thought the scuplted emu was going to attack him and went into defensive mode. I felt bad for him, but it was also pretty funny because I've never seen him react to anything that way - real or not.
Aside from the festival I did some gardening...bought lots of new stuff and finished my front planters. A neighbour has already commented on how good things are starting to look.
Glad you gals are having/have had a good weekend for the most part. I'm at my grandparents' in St. Louis. Working from here today until 2:15, then I'm freeeeee. My great-aunt and great-uncle are coming over for dinner later and we're having salmon and also these for dessert:
Pavlovas! Meringue and fruit, no doubt named after the famous ballerina. We made the meringue shells last night. Mmm.
I've been working all weekend (I think you girls are tired of hearing me complain about it lol) and I work today, too, but I don't go in until mid-afternoon, so I have a while to chill.
Since I couldn't have a day off over the weekend and was so sad about it, I gave myself a light vacation from dieting instead. I wasn't too bad, but I really need to go for a run before I go to work today.
I worked all weekend...drove up to BF's house this morning, and now I'm laying on the couch, catching up on True Blood since we just got HBO back.
We were supposed to go to a BBQ this afternoon, but the people who were having it ended up staying at the shore for the day, so BF just went to the grocery store to get some stuff for us to grill here. I do have a corona though, so it's all good.
Shoes, sorry if I missed it, but how did things go with your mom? Also, I'm still working on some info on Maine for you...I didn't forget about it!
Elle- Don't worry I have been working all weekend so I feel your pain and commiserate with you! Marley- That looks so yummy! *Drools* You must put recipe on NEY Cookbook! I am starting a blog today. It is kind of fun!

We had a party yesterday. I made some EPIC cupcakes for the party, which I promise to AW pictures as soon as I get my power cord to my computer from amazon .
Today, I'm still in my pajamas and shaking my head at that chick that was on here the other day.
Oh, and I've re-read Harry Potter 1 and 2 since Friday. I'm about to start number 3.
My weekend consisted of 2 friends bailing on plans for 2 separate days. But a great Saturday night (and subsequent TERRIBLE Sunday) with BF and his family. We had a bonfire in the rain, a few too many to drink, and it was just all around awesome.
Today I feel fantastic on account of going to bed at 9:30 last night and not getting up until 7:40. And work is fun today, so yay!

Today, Both Andrew and I have it off (well- since Andrew was laid off- he has all days off. LOL). He has offered to take me to the Rtiz in Halfmoon Bay for Lunch. Isn't that exciting?

Talking to the bossman about leaving went well. He was actually really grateful that I emailed him my notice on vacation. He said it gave him time to think about the situation and mull it over.
He didn't try to get me to stay, just thanked me. Without me even saying it, he pretty much knew why I'm leaving.
