March 2012 Weddings

Well, the groundhog saw his shadow...

... so 6 more weeks of winter.

However, the groundhog at the Staten Island Zoo did not see his shadow.

I don't know about you ladies, but its 55 degrees here today and we've had less than an inch of snow all winter, I'm feeling pretty good about our chances for nice weather in March!

Re: Well, the groundhog saw his shadow...

  • Well I'm not too worried about it here in Texas. Our winter has been in the 50's to 70's with maybe 3 days of rain. Bring on 6 more weeks of this and I'm good! lol.

  • I agree with you. The same has been here in Ohio as well.  I think chances of having nice weather in March are fairly high and I'm hoping by my March 31st wedding the flowers will be blooming :)  There are signs of flowers blooming already.   It was almost 60 yesterday and the day before but the nights are pretty cold, but I'm not going to complain :)
  • I'm in Indiana. It can snow in October. I've worn shorts in February. We've had blizzards in late March. I'm trying not to think about it :)
  • I really, really hope we don't get a blizzard. I can stand a bit of snow though. Here in Canada, you never know what you're going to get. I've seen it snow in late May...

Same thing here in Kentucky! We have had snow on Derby day here so anything is possible.

Ditto! No use in worrying about the weather of all things... nothing we can do about it!!  I'd prefer rain over snow if it means all of my guests will make it... but either way it's going to be amazing :)

  • If winter keeps going like it has been I'll be completely fine with that!  I'm loving this weather!!!

  • I'm about to shave my legs because it's supposed to be 80+ for the next few days here in Orlando. This is not winter. My BMs were worried about needing sweaters on March 24, but I'm thinking everyone might be sweating instead.

I live in Indiana too and I think these ground hogs need checked out! lol 2 weeks ago we kept getting snow but since it has been 40s and 50s (which feels like heaven around here) I am so hopeful for an absolutely gorgeous spring wedding day!!!
  • I am crossing my fingers that there are no suprise blizzards at the end of March....eeek!

  • Living on the west coast has been a VERY dry winter and I'm terrified that its gonna pour here come March!

    I hope I'm wrong.

  • I actually wore a skirt and short sleeved shirt to work today. I was never cold, not even when I left my house. The perks of living in Arizona. :)
