  At first I didn't want a first look, and had every intention of him seeing me before the wedding in my dress (we live together and we're not big into tradition)...
  
  BUT then I saw this, and changed my mind.
  
  
  
  
  
  I doubt my fiance will cry but a girl can dream right? And if we do get a little emotional, I want it to be intimate, not have everybody staring and ruining the moment.

  I have thought about having first look done but him be at the alter and me walk down to see him but with no one around except the photographer so that way it seems like the traditional but we still get our moment together.

  I don't have a groon,  but I think we'll do it.  He's been married before and wants to do pictures before so we can almost immediately get to partying.

  We are doing the majority of our pictures before the ceremony and some afterward, just to make the time away from guests shorter. Then again, I've also been dress shopping with my fiance so I'm not that traditional.

  FI and I are debating this too -- both leaning toward doing a first look.
  
  Questions for those who did one: Did you also take family photos and stuff before the ceremony? I don't think I really want his parents, grandparents, etc. seeing me before; just FI. For just doing a couple photos with the 2 of us, how much time should we budget for first look, and how far in advance of the ceremony? (I.e., I don't want any guests milling around yet!)

  We did a first look - our photographer put part of it in her blog post on our wedding - http://www.lisamathewson.com/blog/kristen-joel-wedding-milwaukee-wedding-photographer/
  
  We did all of the bridal party and immediate family pics after the first look / before the ceremony.  We did extended family and friends groups during cocktail hour (ceremony and reception at the same location).

  We are waiting to see each other until I walk into the church.  It's an important moment for me and I don't want to change it.  I don't care if we miss cocktail hour.
