[QUOTE]AATB, the curch we did it in was really pushing for 2 Catholics. Since we weren't parishoners, and we were lucky they were even doing it for us, we had to do it. That, and my couisin ADORES K. We spent a ton of time with her in the hursing home with my Nana when she was dying, and she and K really hit it off. Plus, she is actually a practicing Catholic, and since baptism in the Ctholic church is all about making sure the kid is raised in the church, she really was the right choice. It meant so much to my Nana that we were having him baptized, and that my cousin was godmother. BF thinks it is because I hate her boyfriend, which I do (he is the cheating piece of shitt that hit her), but that really has nothing to do witt it.

Oh I totally agree with you.  I was just sharing another one of my bullshit random anecdotes, lol.

I haven't given much thought to who we'd want to be Godparents to our kids... but for sure, they'd have to be someone who'd take it seriously.

  • yeah Brandi- We just alternated groups from different sides so it was fair- I tried to make it as even as I possibly could. Granted, no one was being a jerk about it to me (except my mom, who thought I didn't need a seating chart but I did due to space reasons)
  • My best friend named me as Godmother to her two daughters and even with living 20 hours away, I still talk with them daily.  My Godfather was/is extremely involved in my life so I had a good example to go by.  I have no idea who we would pick if we do decide to have children.

Morning ladies! It is hot as balls here. I was up at 5 thanks to H having to be in work super early. Sasha had diarrhea all over the hallway floor and hasn't really been eating so we probably will have to take her to the vet later. I just worry that they will have some bad news for us, and H can't really handle it right now because he is super stressed at work.

Jcb, when Pumpkin was sick we had the same issue and it wound up being an intestinal parasite. We gave her chicken and rice for a few days and they gave her medicine and she was good to go in a few days. I hope this is the case with Sasha. She isn't vomiting though, straight diarrhea.

Edited as I meant Jcb, not jcg

Oh, and I forgot my big announcement - K is finally ctawling! He started on Sunday, so his dad got a big Father's Day present. He was baptized that day too, so it was a big day for him.

BF is also pissed because I only "half-heartedly" invited her to the baptism. It was Father's Day, and we didn't have a choice in the day (we tried to get it done before my Nana died, and the next day was in August). We didn't invite anyone because it was Father's Day, and I didn't want to put anyone in an awkward position of having to choose. Her dad lives near her, it is her brother's birthday, and her boyfriend is a dad, so I knew she couldn't come, nor would I push her to be there, because those are more important than my son's baptism for her, and I understand that. So she is mad I didn't push her to go to something she couldn't be at anyway. SMH.
