Wedding Date? May 27, 2012 (Memorial Day Weekend!)
Wedding location (if known)?Ceremony and Reception at La Cima Club in Las Colinas
How long you have known your FI? Since Middle School, he used to make fun of me on the bus...so bad I got him suspended once!!
What you are most scared of in the planning process? I'm a people pleaser usually...but I've been planning my wedding since I was 4. So honestly, I don't care about most opinions. I just hope I don't offend anyone. Oh, and being able to execute my dream without having to ask for financial help from anyone...
And a question for us. What's your favorite thing to talk about on the boards?

Winechic- We won't be using a videographer either. But that's purely because it is out of budget. We have the option of giving someone a video camera if we REALLY want it to be be video taped. I haven't decided if we will or not.

Crash- I originally chose mine because I absolutely fell in love with it. But things fell through, and I'm on the hunt again. IMO though, in case you're wondering, If you have significant doubts about a venue, ask yourself why. Maybe you really don't like it and are just telling yourself you like it because it would work. You will have to compromise on alot of things i've learned through the wedding planning process, but don't compromise you or your FI's happiness

AMorrispink- My favorite thing to talk about on the boards is generally the randomness of the conversations that come out of the daily topics. You kind of get to know all the girls on here on a more personal (but not too personal) way. And it's nice, because you need a support system through this whole process, even if it is online. Your FI and family can only take so much wedding talk before they get burnt out

Wedding Date? Shooting for 11/11/2011, but that could change
Wedding location (if known)? I'm from Tyler, but there isn't anything cool there, so I'm looking at venues in DFW
How long you have known your FI? We've been together 5 years - starting dating just a few months after we met.
What you are most scared of in the planning process? Going over budget. I have $5000 and there are 200 ppl on the guest list! Oh, and we're non-traditional and want the wedding to reflect that!

You sound close to the same situation i'm in. Try looking at places that aren't "designed for weddings" those name tags come with a reflecting price tag. Look into resturants, lofts and things of this nature. You will FOR SURE need a place that allows outside catering, for that many people on this budget i can almost guarantee it. :)

ETA: Park's are really good as well. Just be sure you have a weather back-up-plan :)

What you are most scared of in the planning process? Not having enough money for what we want!
And a question for us. Did you have the same photographer for bridals, engagement photos, and the day of stuff? Any reasonably priced quality photographers people can personally recommend?

Yes, I will have the same photographer for all of my wedding pictures. Most photographers start out around $1500. However mine is much more budget friendly than that... I highly recommend her.

Wedding location (if known)? I have no idea!! That's #1 on our priority list right now!! I've been googling like a mad woman!
How long you have known your FI? For 3.5 years...? We've been together a little over 3 years now though!
What you are most scared of in the planning process? at first it was picking the perfect colors but now that those are out of the way, it's finding the perfect place...and staying within our budget of course!!!
And a question for us: Is there an easy button for all the decisions that have to be made?! =D
