Re: Morning?

• Excitement Edie! ;)

Sounds a lot like my day. The cat woke us up AGAIN! So, I'm letting H sleep. Coffee is on the agenda, as well as laundry. I think I want to go to Target today.

• Hi kd! Hi Edie!
Sleeping all the way to 6:30 feels so good.
We're plotting our day. Bike rides, maybe a hike to the reservoir so the dog can swim, and fixing a sprinkler head and fence post. It's supposed to snow tonight.

Ugh, snow. It's supposed to be 71 here tomorrow.

Thought you were bogged down at work? Not that I want you to be.

I was at work until 9 last night. 14 hours - yay. I'm at a little stopping point until the bosses get through second review. No point in sitting at work waiting for them - I'm going to enjoy my weekend, then hit it again Monday and Tuesday.
Les, what type of project are you working on? Oh, by the way, Edie - my babies eventually got over their anger over being soft-pawed. Leo moved on to a more productive use of his time like trying to chew them off. Leia just resumed being her cuddly self. I gave them extra food and wet food instead of their usual evening dry to make them love me again.

This made me laugh. Sounds like my brat cat.

We had 2 inches here around Tuesday, but it melted quickly.

I think we're going to Petsmart today, that should empty our wallets!

• dj - I used to do tax work with a Big 4 firm. Now I work for a utility, and we do a lot of regulatory reporting to the government. Different rules, not GAAP. Our annual filing is due April 18, so I still have the same busy season I did in tax. We're in the home stretch, and just have half our companies left to file next week.
imageFollow Me on Pinterest
• We're going to finish Tuesday with the year-end reporting, but since the first quarter just ended we have to go straight into that. At least the quarterly reports are less than half as big as the annual.
In Response to Re: Morning? : In addition to Soft Paws, there was a lot of stuff I needed that was on sale that I go through a lot of - kitty litter, canned food, etc. I spent a TON of money there yesterday, so when my cats were being snots to me, I tried guilting them into behaving. "Do you KNOW how much you cost Mommy today?" They didn't care.
Posted by djhar
They dont care DJ, we live for them. I have decided every time I see mine sleeping today I'm going to wake him up.

We bought the dogs crate, but we need puppy things, small stuff. He can use Cleo's stuff as he gets older but her stuff is too big for him now.

• Hey, everyone.

H and I have already taken two trailer-loads to the dump and have been to Home Depot. We were planning to buy new closet doors for the baby's room, but saw that they'd be special-order items and well over $400 at the height we would need. I almost had a coronary. Instead, we spent $5 on some 2x4s and have built a small bulkhead in the closet opening so that we can get the normal-sized doors for $90. Take that, Home Depot.

We're running errands all.farking.day. This is my 15 minutes to decompress before we head out of the city a little ways to go to the aquarium store that's closing. An "EVERYTHING MUST GO!!!!!!" flyer at an aquarium store is too much for H's delicate constitution to withstand, so we must go there today to avoid his bitter disappointment later, should there not be a peppermint shrimp available for him to buy. Undecided
• Morning. Today's H's last Saturday at work, and it's not expected to be a full day. I'm glad, he's tired.

I'm considering taking the pup to a dog park this morning to wear her out, but the closest one (one town over) we have to pay to use since we don't live in that town (they're snobs). And the next closest one I know about is almost a half hour away in the opposite direction of my other errands, and I don't want to drive that far. #firstworldproblems
• Do y'all have a saltwater aquarium, Sept?
• I'm here, trying to get my day started. It's been storming here since last night which just makes me want to hibernate.

I'm getting waxed today at noon, then I need to get groceries for the week, and later on tonight I have a Betty Page/pinup costume party to go to. When I first signed up for it, I was thinking that H would be going with me, but he's still deployed right now and I kinda don't want to go by myself.

• Oh, and to add to the kitty drama, I thought I'd be a nice mommy and feed Eli (the sick one) some extra wet food this morning since he'd been sucky and meowing at me. I forked it out onto a little side plate for him since his bowl was in the dishwasher cycle, and he looked at me, stomped on the side of the plate, flipped it over and walked away.

Ass.
• ha. Good timing. I just got back from the vet with Puck. One shot (bordatella) and some heart worm medicine. Adios $75. And it wasn't even a real vet visit! That's coming in June, with more vaccinations, etc. And Levi is in August. blech.

We're not talking about the s word, btw. We're supposed to get a 'wintery mix' on Monday-Tuesday. WTF. It's supposed to be 75 here today. Make up your mind, Mother Nature.

Yeah, it's 55gal, but super relaxing. We're hoping to snag another small one today too to add two green spotted puffer fish. We'd like a little aquarium in the baby's room.

How cute are these fish?! High-maintenance, but hilarious looking.

"I shant eat this foulness you give me on this inferior plate. I shant."

Now he's digging around under the plate (I walked away and said, "FINE! STARVE!") and trying to get at his food. Heh.

Technically, you have to pay for all the dog parks here too. But the 'fee' is covered in your annual pet license costs, so citizens of that city are covered. My town is cheap ($20/year), but Minneapolis is nuts. It's like a $65 fine if you get caught at the dog park without registration. (And they check regularly.)

• Cant see the picture Sept.

Pirate- you have to pay to use a park? Stupid, come here we have a great park.

And I just remembered I had a full on zombie dream last night. People were just walking around with them, because they didnt realize they would bite and you would than turn. Some of us knew and was trying to hide, but rescue people as well.

Weird....I blame Sesh.
