    Well other than getting great advice when needed, I love reading about what others are going through and being able to identify with them...or not ;)  I love it all!  haha

    Names. Mercedes and George Married years and years My son is getting married next year and I came to The Knot to learn how to behave as a mother of the groom because when we were married mothers of grooms were told to wear beige and shake hands. Grooms were told about the same thing, too, except they could wear a morning coat. I love snark but found out you are all too nice and not snarky. Where is the board for sarcastic cynics?

    Well before the big defect you would have been creamed for using this word. Several people have asked the knot gods to change the name over the years, to no avail.

    How long have you been a knottie? I’ve been a lurker for the past year but created my account this year.
    What's you favorite thing about hanging out here? Other Knotties. I like sharing what I’ve learned with new lost brides.


    I don't have a question but I just thought it'd be fun to share my dorkiness. When i first joined, i was so confused with abbreviations. I remember the first time i saw STD i was appalled. lol. and AA even worse. lol. Then i searched the boards that explained them and it was clear but i laughed at myself forever.

    Hi! I remember you. We are all doing really well. Edmund is growing like crazy. I've had my ups and downs though too. There are times that E's doctors appointments get out of control and just have me feeling defeated. We are getting through it though.
