My SIL (not the physics major) did not remove her screaming baby from my wedding ceremony. Everyone seems to tell posters they won't notice, but I certainly did. Everyone did. We have a great photo of my brother giving her a WTF look, and he's quite possibly the world's biggest fan of babies.

<div>My H had a spat with his mother over my FSIL's little one. She wasn't coming, then suddenly she was, and H (umprompted by me) said "she's going to be taken out if she won't hush, right?" She is at that age where she babbles nonstop. When his mom's answer was "we'll see" it did not go well. </div>

<div>They ended up not bringing her after all. When everything finally came out in the open, I think the reality was that his mother did not want them to bring her (she would have had to drive 12 hours each direction with her in the car, and while she's adorable, but she is a 2 year old) and used my H as an excuse to tell them they couldn't bring her. She told H that she "got the impression Baby wasn't welcome at this wedding."</div><div>
</div><div>That is so not what H said - he only told his mom that someone needed to walk her out of the church if she got loud. I was really upset about it because I adore my FSIL and I was WAY more willing to put up with the baby than upset her, and I was really afraid she was going to be mad. She didn't seem to be, and we have a great relationship, but my MIL has been really standoffish since the wedding. I think she really does think that any issues are my fault.</div>

The HEB in the town I went to college was open 24/7 so FI and I would go shopping at 2 or 3 in the morning.  And the only people there were other college students.  It was awesome.

<div>I am so tempted to smack anyone who refuses to pick up their feet when they walk. The shuffling sound drives me batty, and I've lost it and yelled at a total stranger before. I understand I've just veered into "crazy" territory.</div>

I dont get how someone has a title of "Supply Chain Analyst" but doesnt analyze the trends of errors that our vendors are doing but wants us to do Corrective Action Reports to reprimand them. But lets not look at the big f*ing picture and create a f*ing template for a f*ing packing sheet so the stupid azz item# will always be on there and we dont have to do these f*ing reports...have a wonderful evening ladies

Special, funny you should mention when people don't pick up their feet.  We were just talking about that at work.  It drives me batty too.

I honestly just don't understand how anyone can walk like that, also wouldn't the constant shuffling noise drive someone insane?  I feel like it can't be good for your joints either.

I get the plates with the different causes on them. Like I could see getting a wildlife one, or Reds one (proceeds go to their community fund), but not a plate that said SPECIALK.

I'm wearing a pair of knit clog type shoes today and they are impossible to wear without shuffling my feet.  They piss me off, but they're cute.

    <---- guilty of shuffling around.

I was going to mention that in Virginia vanity plates are really inexpensive.  So they were everywhere down at VT.

AATB that usually slightly bothers me, but it bothers me most when it is someone I see everyday that walks like that ALL. THE. TIME.

Clogs and flip-flops it is understandable, there isn't a lot to keep your foot in place.  I have people at work who do it in dress shoes or sneakers.  I don't understand.

Anna, that's funny. For some reason, moving to Texas was sad for me. Probably because I spent my whole life hating on it (I refused to even apply to UT, my dad really wanted me to go there) so now I feel like a giant hypocrite. Teenage me was a moron.

I've been known to steal a few drags here and there but I have to be pretty tuned up to do that.  Ordinarily I don't touch cigarettes either.  When I do steal puffs though, I like it.  But that's probably because I'm wasted and can't really tell how nasty it is.

I love you Eagles, but I have read no real scientific evidence that says they cause cancer.  In fact, the opposite is true :) They can cause stomach upset though.

I agree with you on the coffee though. My husband doesn't like coffee and it just amazes me.

I used to smoke in college.  I never got up to a pack a day, but when my grandmother died I was pretty stressed out and not doing well in school and I started smoking.  I quit within the year.  H smoked cloves when we met but the smell of his breath after having them disgusted me so he quit.

I love coffee.  To an unnatural level.
In Response to Re: I don't get.. : That's exactly how I got started. And then one day I was in a gas station and bought a pack. Honestly? Even if I quit smoking every day, I'll probably always steal a few drags if I've been marathon drinking. Maybe not though - we will have to see!
    Posted by rachers1017
I refuse to buy them because I'm way too cheap, lol.

Ben started smoking when he was 18 and apparently smoked pretty heavily for a couple years, and then quit cold turkey after his grandma died.  He likes to have a cigarette once in a while when we go out with our old crowd of friends to the bars (which rarely ever happens).  He'll be like "Babe... can I go have a cigarette?"  lol.  I don't care if he has one now and then but I would be majorly bummed if he started up again.
