Jenna I see you! And I know what you mean about the FSIL relationship thing. FI is the only boy in the family so that certainly isn't helping at all. I always feel like they are waiting for me to mess up or something.

My biggest fear was to have the relationship my mom has with her ILs. It's just really awkward and weird and I don't think anyone truly likes eachother.

Nates, it was awesome! We had a ton of people come, it was a great day, and everyone had fun. Kieran had a great time being pulled around in his wagon by his cousins. My trainwreck friend got loaded and was almost molesting my little brother, but that isn't surprise.

lbarr - that sucks. I haven't seen one of my SILs in maybe 2 years? And they live 45 minutes away. DH's family sucks all around (except MIL).

That's an awesome music box, Pirate. Very cool.

We're trying to plan our next vacation and keep butting heads. I want more input from DH to decide where to go/what to do, and he's getting cranky that I haven't planned the whole week yet. I think we made progress last night, though, without arguing.

Thank freaking goodness it's Friday. I'm so ready to sleep in this weekend!

Nebb, can you guys leave the car for now and go looking for a new one? If you find a dealership or car lot that has something you like, see what they'll do for trade in. I'd think even for parts they might give you $1000. Then you could just have it towed there.

I have to drop off my request for Kings Island tickets for our company picnic day, and it's a couple of buildings over. I'm debating on the best route to get there. My options are either walk outside in the rain and have wet feet for most of the day, or take the tunnels that are currently infested with the biggest mother stinking cockroaches I've ever seen. Seriously I tried to step on one Monday, and the son of a b*tch ran from under my foot and got on top of my shoe. I'm not sure how I didn't die from the experience, but the tunnels are currently the number one thing that could potentially give me a heart attack. I guess wet feet sounds like a better option, but then I'll also spend the rest of the day looking like Tina Turner from Mad Max. decisions decisions.

I'[ve talked about her before. She is the one who got bagged for OUI last year, amongst other things. I wish I could help her, but she really needs professional help. Her self-esteem is shot, she has no idea who she is, she drinks too much, and her whole life revolves around pop culture. She lost her virginity at 29, and slept with 8 guys in the next year (some of which know each other). Now she has glommed on to my little brother.

Oh good, thanks! I've been thinking about changing my SN, but not because I got banned for no apparent reason. I was watching the whole thing go down, thinking "This is crazy balls!" and slowly realized that I had been banned. We had Broncos/Bears pre-season tickets(so I could say 'goodbye' to Peyton) at Soldier Field as part of H's big 30th bday celebration so I couldn't stick around and get it sorted out. We have Cubs/Reds tickets today and I'm so hungover that I'd rather curl up and sleep all day. It's actually his bday today so I doubt he'll let that happen.

I'm so excited! I'm making up my lists today for food we need, supplies for our big hike, snacks and food to pack in the cooler for the drive, how many donuts I'll eat at Wall Drug (this is important), and the personal bags. I always forget something though. i just cross my fingers that it's nothing vital.

Nebb- We did get rid of my car when it started having problem after problem after problem. Now that I have a new car, I don't worry if it'll overheat at the drop of a hat, if I'll drop a u-joint in the middle of the road (like my Mom's car) etc. Peace of mind is awfully valuable.

Today was our day to sleep in. Of course, H's phone goes off with a notification before 8am. I thought some a-hole had sent him a text. Nope, he sent himself a reminder. I was a little angry about that. Then he told me it was a reminder that my friends that played the music for our wedding are playing at a nearby bar tonight. What a sweetheart. I told him that he still has sucky timing.

Off to run errands and figure out how to deal with the condo I own. The property manager called me and said we needed to come down and deal with the deck. I know it needs to be stripped and re-stained (previous tenant did a schit job of it), but she said there's also a bees/wasp/hornet's nest underneath. Um, you want me to drive 90 miles round trip to spray hornet killer? Isn't that what I pay you 10% of the collected rent for? Don't y'all think that's reasonable to expect her (who lives on site) to take care of that?

Adam has been outside fiddling with it, the automatic steering fluid is all fine and him and another guy think the brake is locked or something (he thinks possibly cause we used the e-brake on a hill last weekend - for 5 straight days - and never do) so hes just going to take it in and get them to fix it. Atleast then he can drive but we ARE looking for a new car. I want him to get a NEW one too, nothing used. I cant handle always funnelling money into these crap boxes.

Bk - could you call a pest control person to come out and do it? She may not want to do it because she's afraid of/allergic to bees, something like that. Or she's just a lazy fuuck. We had a swarm of bees on a van in our parking lot at work (they estimated around 15,000 of them) and they sent a guy out to take care of them. He wasn't even in the usual beekeeper outfit (coveralls, hat w/hood), he was just some dude in cargo shorts and a tank top, carrying this fogger thing. He acted like it was NBD to take on a swarm of 15,000 bees sporting beachwear.
