Fezz -- it's not hard to learn how to knit and crochet. I learned from youtube videos and was able to make baby hats for both of my nephews.

Mica what about Culligan? What I remember from living in FL is that the water was awful. I always drank bottled water. Is it affecting your dishes?

Well Mica, I love to bake and I would love to entertain. However, FI and I both plan on going to WW together and eating healthy. And we won't be entertaining much because there isn't anyone TO entertain. So...I'll sell it. I guess it will give me a good excuse to shop for one when I do start getting friends to entertain. Mica, I learned to crochet from youtube, too! Some of those videos are really amusing, too. "Here's how you do this stitch... now I'll finish the line *zip zip zip* done!"

I'm working on dissertation stuff. It's slow going, but at least it's interesting. Well, sorta.

Mica, my family in MN uses Culligan and has for years. They've been really happy with it, and as far as I can tell, their water tastes similar to our San Francisco water, which is awesome. I'm not sure about the cost, though.

The water in Tampa sucks, and it's ruining my dishes and screwing with the appliances. I think before I buy a new dishwasher, I want a water softener so that whatever I buy has a decent chance to work. My MIL had problems with Culligan and recommended that I just get whatever Home Depot or Lowes sells, but I keep reading negative reviews of big box store water softeners.

Anyone? Bueller?
