Snarky Brides

Where is everyone?

Anyone around? What's everyone up to?

MOH just left.  We had a good afternoon visiting and whatnot.  We tie dyed tshirts for the bach party and tied ribbons around the puffballs that will be pew decorations (pic).

The pink ones will go down my side of the church and the blue ones will go down his. I love these things.

  • I'm here, watching Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Gotta start getting ready for my party in a little over an hour and a half.

  • What's the party for?
  • Hey. I'm exhausted and am seriously contemplating a nap.  I offered to DD for H's friend's bach party tonight, so we'll see if I end up driving anywhere.

Some random neighborhood kids just knocked on our front door to ask if they could play on our driveway. WTF. No, go play on your own. So then they went across the street to the (vacant) for-sale house and are riding bikes in the grass and bouncing balls against the garage. wtf. seriously.
  • That's strange. I'd be mad if I were the owners of that house.  Especially if they break something or the lawn is torn up at all.

    Hi.

I'm here. H and I were going to get some Chinese food for dinner, but neither of us feels like going out to get it. We used to get it delivered, but since the place we like ended up moving a few blocks further than they were, we're now out of their delivery area. Maybe we're just not hungry enough yet...

Regardless of dinner, we plan to put our pajamas on soon and watch movies all night. We were productive all day and have decided that we no longer wish to be productive this evening. :)
  • I'm pretty sure it's bank-owned, but we think it's recently sold. It's been vacant as long as we've lived here (almost a year.)

I'm tempted to call the realtor on the sign to give them a head's up. The same kids were out there the other day climbing and jumping on the wood fence.
  • I have done absolutely nothing today which has been pretty great. I'm still totally drained from being sick and traveling.

Earlier today I was in bed with the cat and the dog. The cat was alternating between biting the dogs feet and attacking her own tail. Then she fell off the bed. It was pretty damn entertaining.

that's awesome, celtic. H wanted a cat for awhile, but I convinced him that dogs would stage a WWIII against it and eventually we'd come home to a mortally injured animal. Then we started taking hypothetical bets on who would win.

The cat really likes the dog but he just tolerates her. She always rubbing up on his face and trying to cuddle with him but this eventually leads to nibbling. Thankfully our dog is super mellow and patient.

Hi! I'm here, just watching Rango and keeping an eye on the weather. I'm crossing my fingers the storms fizzle out soon. There have already been over 30 tornadoes if I heard the news correctly, and that is more than enough.

Mehg- That sounds like an awesome party!

  • ok, seriously. Do normal movie rental places just not exist anymore? H is out at a bach party and I want to watch a crappy chick flick. Redbox and Blockbuster Express have nothing (between the 127 locations within 10 minutes of me.) And I'm pretty sure there are NO rental stores near here. I am sad.
  • Mehg that sounds like fun!

<div>There is still a Blockbuster down the street from us, but they mostly just sell movies anymore. Between Netflix, Redbox, and working at a used bookstore that also sells DVDs, I don't even bother looking anywhere else anymore.</div>

<div>There's a miniseries called "Titanic" that they are showing tonight. I got excited when I thought it was the movie, but I don't want to watch a stupid miniseries. I want to DVD, but it costs more than $20 on Amazon, and I don't pay that much for one movie anymore.</div>

RIGHT?! I hate that you cant get the dvd for a normal amount. Its cause its like stupid disney where they dont release things for x amount of years. I would have thought it would be available now or something. Titanic sank tonight. I want to watch Titanic and think about it and get all emotional. We went to see it last weekend at the theater but I want to see it AGAIN!
  • I'm watching that Titanic mini-series. So far, so good. I love the clothing.

WOOT! its being re-released in september! Now all I have to do is wait until September. Adam pointed out it comes with the bluray AND dvd, so we can watch it on either tv (our bluray is hooked up to the HDtv in adams office). Is that the one you were talking about sewf? the one thats 21$? Considering the old version was over 50$, im totally cool with spending that lol
  • Is anyone else old enought to have seen Titanic the first time it came out in the movie theatre?  Intermission and all?

My lifes biggest regret is that I wasnt born in the late 1880s, so that when I was the age I am now, I could wear those clothes.

lol its 15 years old, so i mean some of the younger ones here might not have seen it in theaters. There were a ton of teenage girls in the theater last weekend and they were all bawling their eyes out as if theyd never seen it before, it was so cute.
  • I saw it 5 times in theatres. It came out when I was 13 and I remember it was the first movie that made me cry.
