Plus Sized Dresses??

I am going to be looking for dresses soon, and need to know where to shop. I'm going with 2 friends, and my mother and don't want to be embarrassed if we go to a shop and they don't even have anything for me to try on. I'm a 16 now, hoping to get it down to a 12 or 14 for my wedding 8 months from now. Any suggestions on where I should go to look for dresses??

    david's bridal. i know it's generic, but some of their stuff is very nice!

    i would also try amanda's bridal in arvada

    I tried David's, Amanda's and Chiyo's.  I ended up finding my dress at David's Bridal. I'm a plus size bride and was very nervous about shopping and not being able to try dresses on, but I called a head to see what plus sizes they carried and those are the places I went and I was able to try on a lot of different styles.

    I am a plus-size & found my maggie sotterro gown at Chiyos :)
    no identifiable siggy pictures anymore, thanks a lot stupid nest!

    Definitely try The Bridal Collection


    I'm the exact same size (and trying to get down to the same size!) and I found a beautiful, affordable, Maggie Sottero, that wasn't plus size.  

    Ask for Ricki, she was amazing!
