Mutley, Jeter, and DWest - Thanks ladies. It's good to know other women go through this and yet it makes me sad for you too. I'm at a hotel that has an AWESOME mirror in a hallway. I look teeny tiny. I want to steal the mirror. But the elevator mirrors make me look like a hippo. So within 2 minutes' time I go from skinny to MASSIVE. Doesn't help my brain figure out my true size one bit!

Elevator mirrors always make people look fat.  I think that it's probably to defer people to want to have sex in them.

"Oh baby... this mirror makes my butt look enormous. Get off."

    Yeah, sexy.

    And about the weight issue...

My dad was a twin.  He had 8 other brothers and sisters which included 3 other sets of twins.  So my grandma had 4 sets of twins and 2 singlets.  I'm thinking that sounds like hypo-ovulation syndrome.  So the probability that I'll have twins is raised.

My mom looked like she was carrying triplets by the time she had my sister, and twins with me.

I have no doubt (assuming I am able to have children) I'm going to be huge, regardless of the numbers of babies.  I'm slightly nervous that I'll have body issues because I've suffered from it in the past.  I guess everyone has/does.

It's midnight. This post was pointless.

Not pointless if it's on your mind!

For me, I know I'll put on weight when I get pregnant, but the goal is to treat my body as I would my baby because everything I eat will in some form be transferred to the fetus.  I will resist as much as possible for cravings for Burger King, Taco Bell, Doritos, etc.  I'll eat as much organics as possible, and as I do most of my own cooking now that's not likely to change.  Or BF/DP (haha... we registered for Domestic Partnership, so someone suggested I should refer to him as DP, but it just feels weird) will cook, as he's already told me his perspective on organics being best for children.  And I'll try to keep in good shape physically.  There's so many benefits to staying fit while you're pregnant - it makes for an easier labor and childbirth, easier recovery time, and you lose the baby weight faster.

As long as I'm eating healthy and working out, I won't let the number on the scale bother me.  But then, I've never had many problems with body image and I'm very lucky for that.  My BF/DP says cute things like, "It's going to be fun someday when we get pregnant, and you get all chubby and cute."

Laughing I love him so much, and the thought of having kids with him makes me giddy!
