Not Engaged Yet

The weekend is near!

Good morning, lovely ladies! I'm finally feeling like myself again and I'm so glad for that. What's up for the weekend?

Tonight, FI is leaving for his bachelor party for the weekend. I'm going to miss him! My friend is staying over so we'll probably be lazy and watch movies.

Tomorrow, I have a dress fitting in the morning! Afterwards my MOH and I are taking our moms into the city to see Cinderella on Broadway. Tomorrow night I'm taking my parents out to dinner. Tomorrow will be a good day :)

Sunday, I have nothing planned. I'll probably clean, do some laundry, and go food shopping for the week while I wait for FI to get home.

Re: The weekend is near!

  • Glad you're feeling better!

Tonight I'll be cooking dinner and doing some laundry.

Tomorrow I'm going to replace all of our old mulch in the front yard to new rubber mulch.  My parents used it when it first came out, and they've never had to replace it.  Once I'm done with that I'm going to clean up the yard and seed and fertilize it.

Sunday we're putting together our grill.  I'm a little sad we didn't get the grill I really wanted, but I think there was too many gadgets for just the two of us.  The one we bought still holds 40-something hamburgers so please feel free to come over ;)

Hope everyone has a good weekend!!!!

Cinderella on broadway sounds amazing! I'll have to check and see if that will be coming to ATL anytime in the future.

Tonight FI and I are going to dinner with his mom and stepdad. Then afterwards we are going back to his place and I'm going to be crafty and make some chalkboard signs for our engagement photos tomorrow. I'm going to make one with our date on it and then another one that says "I'm going to be a (FI's last name)". Hopefully they turn out nice.

Saturday FI and I have our engagement photos and the weather looks like it will be nice so I'm excited for those. It's going to be outside near the Chattahoochee River next to an old abandoned mill. After that we have the rest of the day to relax and I think FI and I plan on grilling that night. He is a big hunter so he has had some deer steaks in the freezer that we might grill.

Sunday is church and then mom and I are meeting with a potential invitation designer that we met back in February. She is awesome but a little pricey so we will see how that turns out.

ETA: This is what the sign is supposed to look like:

  • WOOT to feeling better. That sounds like a fun weekend!

DH and I are heading down to Richmond tonight to my sister's house. I'm running a 10k tomorrow morning, then shopping for a 'champagne and cupcakes' suprise birthday party for my sister. Then we'll go to a soccer game Saturday night and head home Sunday. I can't wait!

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • Oh have fun seeing Cinderella on Broadway the music is so good in that show.

After work I have someone coming by for a quote on moving us. Then we are going out to dinner for FI's birthday that was this week. Then out furniture shopping.  We have someone to lease the condo already which is a huge weight off of our shoulders, so now we can begin to do a lot more packing.

FI has a bachelor party Saturday night, so I'm going to try to meet up with my friend who's H is also going to said bachelor party, may be for dinner or something.  I'm going to try to do some more packing and get in a small workout of sorts.

Sunday we have a wedding to go to at 11:30, which I think it's early.  We love to sleep in on Sundays.  It's supposed to be outside in these gardens but they also have an indoor space.  I have no idea of how to dress for this wedding either, should I be prepared to be outside for a bit or not??? I'm just hoping for a wedding at 11:30 on a Sunday I better be handed a mimosa upon entering.  I know there is a reception to follow but I don't know when it ends or anything either... So depending when that ends depends on what we will do the rest of the day/evening.

I had to go back and edit my post before I submitted it because I was referring to FI as BF still.....

  • Cinderella sounds so much fun!!

tonight H and I are singing in a city a couple hours away, so we won't get back till sometime in the middle of the night.  I will probably sleep in the car, poor H.

tomorrow I have to get our food shopping done, vacuum the house, finish the laundry, clean out the fridge, and clean the bathrooms.  and our Spanish stuff in the evening.  it'll be busy, but at least I can be in my PJs for part of the day.

Sunday my dad is coming over to eat lunch with us after morning church.  then I plan to take a long NAP.
  • I'm glad you're feeling better!  Enjoy Cinderella - that sounds like a lot of fun!

Tonight I am leaving work early to meet up with my GS troop.  They're running a Cake Decorating Contest for the Service Unit, and since the money goes to council to help girls whose families can't afford uniforms, leader training, etc, my mom is entering a cake as well!

Tomorrow M and I are driving down to my alma mater for alumni weekend.  I'm planning on visiting my two departments - Foreign Languages and Bio, and spending some time with my advisor, and then heading home.  I'm a little sad we're going to miss the Chemistry reception tonight, but I couldn't justify a hotel, so I'm going to try to track down some chem professors while we're there too.

Sunday I'm running a 5K with my roommate, and then I have nothing else going on.  I might try to get some sewing done, but we'll see.  At some point this weekend I need to clean.

  • Tonight I'm gonna grill myself and the boys some steaks and grilled portabellas. No, I do not get a break from cooking on my birthday, lol.

Tomorrow I'm heading to the barn early and planning on spending most of the day there. Tomorrow night, nada. Probably gonna sit on the couch and catch up on episodes of Shameless.

Sunday we have a going away party for Bean's scout leader.

Also, anything special that you do with the portobellos before you grill them?  I used to baste mine with Italian salad dressing, but I'm getting bored with that.  I'm taking all suggestions!

Well since it's Spring FI and I decided to wear springy colors. He is wearing these light blue shorts and a yellow button down. I'll be wearing white capris and a seafoam green blouse. It will probably be a pastel explosion but I like it lol. I have a second outfit that's a casual coral high low dress and he is wearing his sexy tight country boy jeans that I love, boots, and white button down.
  • Happy birthday, Bean!

Tonight I'm going to gaming again - the Pathfinder campaign is rapidly becoming the song that never ends. Ah well, at least I still have baby hats to keep me occupied.

Tomorrow we're meeting up with a friend who just got a whole bunch of minifigures for tabletop gaming. We're going to help him categorize him - I think he just got about 250, so it's going to be a job.

Sunday I am declaring a tabletop-gaming-free day. BF doesn't know that yet ...

  • Tomorrow, one of our close friends is coming to visit before she moves out to Albuquerque. We're gonna go to the opera tomorrow night (The Magic Flute) and are pretty stoked about this. We might go hookah afterwards, but idk.

So far, we don't have anything planned for Sunday, but we started rewatching Arrested Development last night in preparation for the new episodes next month. Tyler hasn't seen most of the series, so he's losing his mind laughing and keeps saying that he now understands more jokes on Metafilter.

In exactly a week, I'll be waking up as my train to NYC cruises between Manassas and Alexandria in preparation for my Muse concert that evening. I'm totally stoked.

  • RDR- Glad you are feeling better.  Where is your FI going for his bachelor party weekend?

    Bean- Happy Birthday!

Today I'm just going to try to get through the day (darn ear infection won't go away) and go to the gym (no gym in the last two weeks = ugh).  My mom is coming tonight to pick up a couch we have in storage for her new place so we are helping her with that tonight/tomorrow.

Saturday + Sunday = Wedding thank you cards (with the aid of wine).

Thank you cards...not so much.  I'm so very thankful for the gifts we got but that's the problem.  I can't write a generic "thank you" and I feel compelled to personalize each and every note (and make it long).  Its going to take forever.  :)

This weekend I will mostly be obsessing about my potential new job. I CANNOT HANDLE 5-7 MORE DAYS OF THIS! I will also be trying to apply to some other jobs, because the odds of 1) them offering me the position and 2) it paying enough are probably a lot slimmer than I'd like to imagine.

Tomorrow, if it happens to actually get nice outside, we'll go to a beer garden in Queens with some friends. I also desperately need to do laundry, and clean, and go food shopping.

  • Happy Day of Birth, Bean :)

DH is going to be OOT working all weekend, so I'm on my own.

Tonight I'm going to BBB to buy a blender (for the smoothie detox/cleanse thing I'm doing). Then I'll be chillin' at home watching hockey.

Tomorrow is my last p90x workout for round 1. So Yoga X in the morning followed by breakfast and then THEN I'm getting my first massage ever. I'm sofuckingexcited! After that I'm gonna hit up Whole Foods for the cleanse ingredients. Sataurday night is a going away party for my MOH (she and her H are moving to London Cry)  So I'll be drinking the sadness away with her and a bunch of other people.

Sunday will be cleanse day number 1 so that will be interesting. Doing some house cleaning and just vegging out. Watching more hockey. . . nice little Sunday.
