NER: Possibly Pervy Question

So Im getting married in 10 days and am trying to get all the  last minute little details figured out. I have the slip and long line bra and whatnot but I realized I have no panties (sorry for use of the p-word). So Im wondering what would be the best to wear. I know they have all those cute lacey ‘bride’ ones but I worry that could get very uncomfortable after an outdoor ceremony where it could be hot and a reception where I will be dancing all night. Obviously I could do basic cotton but that seems pretty lame. Any suggestions? Did you regret your choice?

And sorry if this is too personal/TMI

    I wore the lacy bride thong, but I was indoors with air conditioning, so I'm no help. Sorry. I didn't have any problems with them though.

    I wore a lacy thong, too, but that's what I normally wear. I've never had underwear issues being too hot. 


    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    I dont mean the underwear themselves being hot, just me being hot in general and then having lace underwear which can be scratchy.

    What about a pair of cotton panties with a pretty/lacy waistband?  I have a pair from VS that are pretty cute.  Or you could always slip into a sexier pair at the end of the night if you really want to.

    I had white cotton boyshorts that had 'bride' on them - I think they were from Vicky's (my MOH bought them for me as a b-party gift).  I would say wear what you want / will be comfortable in b/c you can always put on cute underwear after...

    Well, I had a pretty cotton pair with a lace on them, but I lost my underwear somewhere between my house and the hotel. So, I ended up at Walmart the morning of the wedding buying a plain pair of cotton chonies.   I actually appreciated it. It gets hot under there.

    I wore lace ones like I would normally wear so I was used to them. I also had a full slip and crinoline. Yeah, it was hot, but I don't think there's any undergarment that could solve that.

    I picked these bad boys up in navy blue (as my something blue!):


    Boyshorts are my favorite style of underwear and I wanted something breathable with a LITTLE stretch. And my dress is Thai silk and full-skirted, so the underwear won't be visible. Wear something comfortable!

    And I find it really funny that you apologized for using the "p-word". "Panties" is actually one of my least favorite words. :)

    Wear both. 
    Take a thong to change into towards the end of the night and that way they won't be sweaty.

    I just wore comfy cotton undies.  I think nude ones, but they might have been white?  I didn't want to risk anything showing through my gown.  Cutesy underwear just wasn't high on my priority list.

    Yup. I wore plain seamless underwear. Not a sexy thong, but not totally boring cotton either. I was glad not to worry about them riding up and they were comfy.

    I truly hate the word panties. I think it is significantly worse than the other  'P word' which if I used would prob get me banned.

    fair point. I also hate the word 'panties' I prefer underwear or whatever specific kind I am talking about e.g. boy shorts, thongs. Or chonies

    VS has cotton "Bride" panties that are just regular old bikini cut so they don't ride up. I bought a pair to wear for my wedding.

    I wore just plan, seamless underwear from VS.  They are super comfortable, and I actually have a couple of pairs that I wear with work pants sometimes.

    Frankly, unless you have an early wedding or do a line of coke, I know less than 5 couples who had sex on their wedding day. Don't bother with beautiful undies unless you're going to also bathe after the wedding, at least a whorre's bath).

    I just wanted to say we had sex on our wedding night. We were exhausted and I had a migraine, but we were totally doing it.

    This thread just made my evening.

    Also, I would like to say that I have given no thought to what underwear I will be wearing in a few weeks. FI just looked over my shoulder, saw the theme of this thread, and asked me to please wear none at all.
