@lemclane, yep. Umbridge was one of those characters I positively loved to hate, and she always had a rule that could be cleverly sidestepped (of course, she was never clever enough to think it through before bringing in the rule).

My original account is totally banned, I can't login at all. The screen says "You've been blocked. If you think a mistake has been made, contact this site's administrator." Also, 99% of my posts in the "Cousin Drama" thread show up as "[comment moderated for trolling]".

My second account allows me to login but it doesn't allow me to post anywhere. I can just lurk apparently.

Was THAT Linger? I never even saw what she said! Hahaha. That thread was a shitshow. I'd really like to know how the situation plays out for the OP since it seems like she's going to treat her cousin like a child, just like her aunt wants.

This is what mine originally said and then it wouldn't let me login so I changed my password. And all of my posts still show up just fine. I have tried posting anything since the possible banhammer happend though so I have no idea if I am completely banned or just semi-banned.

@AddieL73 - Yeah it did that when I reapplied and posted under a new username and then it came back that I was banned. But with my original username it said I was banned but all my posts are still there (no "comment moderated for trolling") but I just can't post or PM now, but I can still receive PMs.

Ahh good call. I can login with both names but still can't post under either.

I just checked and I've been blocked too. I did not post on the Dec 2010 thread, and my account is not new. The few replies I made today were polite and have not been removed, but I'm not allowed to login anymore. WTF are they worried about over there? Even the WBGs are allergic to good advice!

For three weeks now I have been unable to post here b/c of tech issues that haven't been fixed. So I resort to mostly lurking here during the day. I won't tomorrow though.

Their Vegas board is completely dead; most threads haven't seen life in 4+ months even though it's the busiest wedding city in the country. I made 10 posts so far and haven't been banned yet. The lack of spell check, and breaking Firefox's spell check, is pretty annoying. It's also impossible to easily navigate from one board to another, so from an overall experience standpoint, their site kind of sucks so far.

Maybe there's some other knot competitor we should look at who would appreciate the participation....

My thoughts exactly, the forums are just a perk TK makes all it's money from vendors so people can post free of charge. not having a forum won't stop people from still looking for vendors/reviews.

Well I took the day off to fill WB's desolate Vegas forum full of useful information from threads where questions had gone unanswered about officiants, marriage licenses, Vegas hotels, transportation issues, budget issues, so on and so forth. Spent a few hours typing out replies to peoples questions and then they banned me for 'trolling'.

Any other sites out there that should be considered?

I didn't participate in the WB banning party (apparently I missed out on lots of frustration there) but I'm glad to be back after our day off. It's funny how hard it was for me to to stay away from these boards, especially since I haven't been checking them regularly for very long!

I was able to post about 20 times and as of this morning, still wasn't banned. Maybe because I didn't respond to any of the WB posts made on TK? If I hadn't been so busy at work yesterday, I would have posted more.
