  • You didn't know they were bad, you said so yourself. How is it not helpful that you now have knowledge you didn't before? Saying "But you didn't hand feed me everything I wanted so you're unhelpful boooo" is unfair. I know photography tricks but I'm afraid to share any knowledge with you because I don't want to go though the effort only to be told I'm unhelpful because I wasn't psychic and didn't know exactly what you wanted. Ask people if you want photo suggestions, don't whine that they didn't lnow you wanted them.

You are correct I did not think the pictures were bad... if I don't think their bad, how would I know to ask for the suggestion on photos... I asked for suggestions on where to post. Just saying "your pictures are bad" and that's it doesn't help me take a better picture or know of a good spot to post the new pictures! I wasn't given any advice I only received statements which are very different from advice... yes OK got it pictures are bad... "insert tips to fixing pictures here"... if you have tips to improve the pictures... then I'll take them if you'd like to share... but just telling me my pictures are bad doesn't help me fix that... telling me I overpaid when the veil was already purchased is in no way helpful... being helpful means telling the person something that would help them fix a problem.

@Button6004 - I don't recall asking for pity... I asked for advice of where to post it to get it sold... I refer you to the above post of why I don't think anything was helpful aside from the now two posts who actually gave a tips to fix the pictures rather than just saying they were bad.

@muppetfan - thanks for pointing that out I did not even see it! Will do I appreciate the advice.

  • OP, you have a real chip on your shoulder. Maybe if you realized how crappy your approach was, you'd get further.

Try better lighting and clear focused photos. Then you can try selling your veil on the classifieds here or on a preowned gown site. You may also consider lowering the price if you don't get any bites.

  • I know you said you already took the tags off, but do you still have them? Or do you know the brand or style of the veil? Some people look up those specific things.

I've been trying to find them and cannot... right after I purchased the veil was my bridal shower which was at my house so I went on an all-out cleaning rampage... I'm thinking about going back to the shop with the veil and asking the owner if she can tell me... thanks for the advice!
  • An ivory veil with a white dress looks fine.
