Re: How Rude is it for the Bride to leave the RD early?

  • I'm staying at my parent's house. My fiance is staying at a hotel. My parents have offered to host a breakfast. They love all my friends from HS like their own daughters and miss them, too! I'm usually awake by 6 or 7 so sleeping in isn't an issue. I'd have to wrap the event up by 10 to get to the wedding site in time. The hair and makeup and photographer people are all coming to me at the wedding site, so I don't really have to go anywhere once I get there. Can I call it a "bridal brunch?" Is 8 too early for mimosas? lol

It's never too early for mimosas.

I think you can call it a bridal brunch or bridal breakfast or whatever you feel like.  You could also invite your friends to get ready with you at the wedding site if you'd like, that way the breakfast/brunch wouldn't have to end at 10.
Don't worry guys, I have the Wedding Police AND the Whambulance on speed dial!
