1. What is your go to FroYo combination (yogurt and toppings)?
I'm not really a fro-yo person, but usually I go for fruity flavors and fruit topping.

2. How long is your commute?
25-45 minutes, depending on traffic. It usually takes longer to get home.

3. What do you want for your next birthday?
I have no idea. I still have 5 months to think about it.

4. Name a book you've read recently that you'd recommend. Why?
Under the Dome by Stephen King. I read 1,000 pages in a week. It's an interesting premise (if a bit Lord of the Flies-like) and so much stuff just keeps happening.

5. Do you put money into a 401k or an IRA?
401k, though I have an IRA that's an old 401k that I could roll to anything else.

6. Thongs or bikini panties?
Bikini. I hate thongs.

7. If you got a new pet, what would you name it?
Roxy.

8. Penises at bachelorette parties. . . funny or tacky?
Embarrassing. My friends knew I would kill them if that happened at mine.

9. Do you play or did you play a musical instrument (to some level of competence, not just "I picked up a guitar once") in your life? What is/was it?
Piano and guitar. I majored in music theory (though didn't quite finish my bachelor's). I'm not terribly great at either, but I can read music and get through a few songs. I even played keyboards in a punk band years ago.

10. Did you watch the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo premiere last night? If so, did you get the scratch and sniff card to go along with it?

I've never had it...though there are tons of places offering it in Chicago.

2. How long is your commute? 30 minutes with a walk to the train station and a ride on the El. If I'm walking our dog to the dog daycare (right by the train station)...tack on another 15-20 minutes to walk two blocks home...our dog is SLOW, especially in this heat).

3. What do you want for your next birthday? Just a nice relaxing trip to Mexico (small thing, right?).

4. Name a book you've read recently that you'd recommend. Why? I'm reading J.K. Rowling's new book....so far so good.

5. Do you put money into a 401k or an IRA? 401k.

6. Thongs or bikini panties? Both depending on the outfit.

7. If you got a new pet, what would you name it? I love "j"s in random places (my name has two, our dog has one)...maybe Bijou.

8. Penises at bachelorette parties. . . funny or tacky? Tacky.

9. Do you play or did you play a musical instrument (to some level of competence, not just "I picked up a guitar once") in your life? What is/was it? Lots of them...piano, guitar, clarinet, bassoon. Our family was very into music.

10. Did you watch the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo premiere last night? If so, did you get the scratch and sniff card to go along with it? I've never watched any episode of Honey Boo Boo and never plan to in the near future.

1. What is your go to FroYo combination (yogurt and toppings)? Plain or vanilla with M & Ms and/or strawberries.

2. How long is your commute? OMG, to what? To work and school, 10-15 minutes. To clinical, however long my instructor says it should take me. Sike, right now it's about 20 minutes, which I am very grateful for.

3. What do you want for your next birthday? For my next birthday I will be balls deep in another semester of school. I will want to be left alone except to occasionally be brought food and reminded to sleep and pee.

4. Name a book you've read recently that you'd recommend. Why? The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult. It was just really interesting and kept me hooked until the last page! It was one of those rare books that you cannot go to sleep until you find out what happens in the next chapter...and the next...and the next...

5. Do you put money into a 401k or an IRA? I have a 4-oh-something through work that I kinda-sorta participate in, and an IRA I started a couple years ago. I don't get to contribute that much since I'm in school and only working a little bit right now, but I do put a little bit away.

6. Thongs or bikini panties? Bikini definitely. I hate thongs. I don't understand how they could ever be worn comfortably.

7. If you got a new pet, what would you name it? That depends on so many variables! Coloring, markings, personality. I need more information!

8. Penises at bachelorette parties. . . funny or tacky? They don't really float my boat, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's tacky. Just not for me.

9. Do you play or did you play a musical instrument (to some level of competence, not just "I picked up a guitar once") in your life? What is/was it? I played the trumpet at a very beginner level in elementary school. I played for two years.

10. Did you watch the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo premiere last night? If so, did you get the scratch and sniff card to go along with it? No, I did not, and I was horrified when I found out that this was a thing.

@leia1979 My aunt and uncle's dog who just passed away was named Roxy. She was such a wonderful dog, I miss her a lot! I think it's a great pet name.

Feeling very validated at the number of folks who don't wear thong underwear. I'll wear it if I'm wearing something that necessitates it, or if I'm deliberately dressing sexy for my partner. But the only time I wore one to work was because I hadn't done laundry and was out of regular underwear.

I am NOT good at wearing traditional "girly" stuff that isn't super comfortable. Thongs? Strapless bras? Heels? Nope. Is there some kind of trick to wearing heels, besides "Don't have huge feet and weigh a lot?" ARG.

I like coconut froyo with fresh strawberries and kiwi.

Nonexistent. The joys of unemployment.

3. What do you want for your next birthday?

It's a long way away. For our anniversary, I'm hoping my H buys me something I can display all of my jewelry on so I can actually see what I have and use it. And, you know, some jewelry to display on it might be nice too. :P

4. Name a book you've read recently that you'd recommend. Why?

Love the One You're With by Emily Giffin. It's what I read most recently...and I enjoyed it.

5. Do you put money into a 401k or an IRA?

I do not. My H does.

6. Thongs or bikini panties?

Both. I don't discriminate...except those "Cheekie" things that Victoria's Secret sells. They're a HUGE wedgie waiting to happen.

It'd depend on the pet.

Funny. And sort of necessary IMO. I was really sad that there were no penises at mine. And that there was nothing "bachelorette-y" about mine at all...and it felt like a regular night out. But I'm just whining at this point.

I played the flute for 9 years.

It's friday and this thread may be dead now, but I'm bored at work so Imma do it anyway.

1. What is your go to FroYo combination (yogurt and toppings)?
I don't know that I've ever had FroYo. I'm not a big ice cream/froyo person. We do sometimes go for gelato, and in that case I'm likely to get chocolate/coffee or lemon/strawberry.

2. How long is your commute? 30 minutes or so, AFTER dropping off the baby. I hate that I have to be up at 6 am to shower, have breakfast, get baby and myself all packed and ready to go in order to be at work at 9. But it's worth it to have our own home and live in an area we like.

3. What do you want for your next birthday?

It's not til January so I don't have anything in mind. But I would LOVE if we could give each other early Christmas presents and take a couple days to go to Hawaii this fall. I am desperate for some time just me and hubs before we start working on Baby 2.

4. Name a book you've read recently that you'd recommend. Why?

@cschiano, I just got into the Pendergast books by Preston & Child! I also just read a pretty decent beach-y read by Mary Alice Monroe called The Beach House.

5. Do you put money into a 401k or an IRA?

Hubs has a 401k, I have a state retirement pension plan. We have met with a financial planner and I feel a lot better about where we're at and our plans for the future.

I only wear hipster panties. Unless I'm dressing for H and I know that thong is not going to be bothering me for long.

7. If you got a new pet, what would you name it?

Ugh, don't talk to me about pets. H is pestering me about getting a dog. I feel like I can hardly take care of me, him, and our child. I'd rather have another baby and wait until that child is over a year before we get a dog.

I didn't want them for myself, but they don't bother me at parties I'm attending. Sometimes tacky IS funny.

I played the trumpet through middle and high school in pep, jazz, and concert band. I was in the colorguard for marching band. I was better at guard and liked pep band best. I wasn't all that good but I had a lot of fun.

1. Pendergast is the shit! Glad you're getting into them. I read them as they were writing them so I'd have to wait like a year in between novels. . . it was torture.

@cschiano, yeah, I'm glad I waited until there were a lot out. But I don't think any have been as good as the first one. I couldn't put it down -- truly one of the scariest books I've read!

And yes, we're planning to procreate again, just not quite ready yet.
