I was 25 for my first wedding. We were together almost 17 years. Long story there, but he was injured in the line of duty in the Army. Part of the injury was a head injury, which totally changed his personality. We stuck it out for 12 more years after the injury, but really, the last 7 to 8 we were more like brother and sister, or mom and son, because I had to do so many things for him--he just couldn't comprehend some things, and still can't. Finally, he decided other women were better than me, so we split up.

20 married 15 yrs--we worked opposite shifts so we didn't have to have day-care***not a good idea. We are still good friends and do a lot of 'Family" parties together.

Married 2 weeks after my 18th birthday, divorced 1 month before my 19th birthday, lol. He turned out to be an abusive jerk, and I'd decided that after abuse at the hands of my parents, I would never tolerate anybody else treating me that way. So I left him.

I was 16 1/2. We were married 18 years until I finally realized he wasn't going to change his ways. (won't bother to go into the details of those ways) I can't say I regret getting married. I have two fantastic children, there were some good memories along the way, and I learned soooo much.

Me too. Divorced at 21 after he became abusive. Remarried at 23--until he had his midlife crisis. We were together 20 years.

26, it lasted for 10 months (he cheated). We got remarried at 29 (seemed like a good idea at the time) and divorced again at 32 (2.5 years, so better than the first time around). I will be 34 for my third (and LAST) wedding - to someone different.

I was 19, pregnant and scared. The only reason I married him was because my mom told me I had to because I was pregnant, being young and naieve I listend to her. I left him 2 days after the marriage at the courthouse, until my mom talked me into going back 1 week later. He started cheating(before we were married, but I didn't know about it), and being verbally and physically abusive when our oldest son was 6 months old and it was all down hill from there. Out of sheer stupidity I stayed with him for a long miserable 13 years! I have finally found the man of my dreams and am truly blessed that out of misery came 3 beautiful children and the backbone to know that I deserve alot better than what I got the first time around!

22. I lasted 7 years before I became tired of being not just his wife, but his mother, housekeeper, chaufer, everything for our 2 children, took care of everything in our home, etc. I lost my outstanding credit rating and a house because of him. But at least i got the kids!

i will be 33 when I marry again. this time it will be forever. i have truly found what i want in a partner. i was so young and nieve before. i settled then, not this time.

we started dating when i was 18. and when we got married, i was 21 he was 23. my father had just passed away, and i had literally no where to go. so i moved in his house w/parents, and he joined the navy. we went to chicago to visit and watch him graduate boot camp and he proposed. we were married for 4 years. and 3 of those years, he had other girlfriends and secret relationships!! gasp* i FINALLY opened my eyes, and filed for divorce. during that time i met my FUTURE husband however told him there would be no relationship- but apparently... god had other plans. he is perfect. everything i wanted in a MAN.!!! first time i eloped. this time since its RIGHT, i am doing it right 1 week to go!!! and now i just turned 29, last month and fi is 36
