hump hump hump day...

Morning y'all...

I am happy this morning if only because I no longer have the headache I had yesterday. That alone is pretty much enough to make me happy. I have never had a migraine (I don't think) but now I understand why the people at work say they have to go home when they get them...

I have nothing exciting to share today. Not that anything I usually share is particularly exciting...oh wait, I signed up for my first 10k race yesterday...that is exciting as well as scary as hell. It is on May 1st. Hopefully I can run most/all of it. That's pretty much my goal!

Have a great day ladies.

  • Good morning!

Will bought me flowers yesterday for no reason other than he loves me. I was so surprised, what a sweetie. And he finally learned that I like tulips, not roses LOL. I made these really yummy pork chops for dinner last night, so I'm already excited to eat my leftovers for lunch and it's not even 8am yet.

I know I should be doing something productive right now, but I can't stop looking at the mini-giraffe website: http://www.petitelapgiraffe.com/index.php

    I. WANT. ONE.

  • Morning!  That's awesome about the 10K, numbers! You will definitely have to let us know how it goes!

I went to the gym last night, got dressed in my gym clothes and felt around in my bag for tennis shoes, only to realize I put two different shoes in my bag.  Major gym fail on my part.  So I took that to mean I wasn't supposed to work out yesterday and went home.

I'm starting stage two in the NROL4W today so I'm excited and nervous about that.  That's pretty much going to be the highlight of my day.

    Have a great day everyone!

  • Morning ladies!  Work is still kicking  my butt, and I kind of missing hanging out here during the day.

M- I love that website. It's freaking hilarious.  Nicecly done, Direct TV.
  • Morning everyone. I'm tird, we stayed up to watch the 2-hour Deadliest Catch premier. And tonight is Justified, so another late night. We really need to get with the times and buy one of those DVR things.

I'm off to the doc today to see about my migraines. Hopefully she can tell me why my head is so sensitive to the touch, or refer me to someone who knows. It's so weird, even if I don't have a headache, this one spot on the back of my head aches and if I touch it, instant migraine. Hopefully my head doesn't explode or something.
  • Morning! I was just awakened by a crisis call. Damn I hate being oncall. I am supposed to be in at 1, but they need me in at 10 instead because there are only 2 people and it is super busy. Better get my booty moving!

Yesterday was all kind of balls - a coworker had it out with the owner for an hour and a half in the board room yesterday, SHOUTING at eachother, and we could all hear through the door and some of it was a little unsettling so things were pretty tense in the office yesterday. Oddly, the owner was talking to me later and it somehow came up that I had been there for 8 months now and he was amazed it had been that long and he asked me how I liked it - so I told the truth and told him I loved working there and loved my job (which is entirely the truth), which seemed to make him happy. I just hope today is a little more quiet!!

After work im meeting up with sept bride, and then probably working out at home. I went to my gym for the first time in a month and a half yesterday to find out they are closed for 3+ months for renovations so I will need to start going across town if I want to work out which means I sure aint going today or I wont get home till like 8.

Yup. Thats it. Theres my novel.
  • Good morning! I made it to bootcamp this morning for the first time this week. It felt good. I'm hoping it stimulates my appetite. I also had my first smoothie with spinach this morning. It really only changed the texture, so that's good. I ended up using the powder that VG recommended, in Vanilla, because that's the one out of the list that my local grocery carries. The only thing I didn't like was that my berries werent frozen so the smoothie was kinda warm. Warm milk product is just plain gross.

So now I'm off to get the spinach out of my teeth and go to the dentist, then another long day at work followed by Chuck E Cheese with my ex's daughter and her stepsister. I get to tell them about Spartacus for the first time, so I'm excited!

  • Morning.  Hump day indeed.  Hehe.

I got Derek cookies from this neat bakery by my dad's place in Toronto and oh-em-gee they were amazing.  I ate far too many but it was so worth it.

I think I'm going to swing over to BB&B at lunch today to look at bedding sets.  BIL's GF moves in with us in a few weeks and I really want to make that room look a bit nicer before that happens.

Tonight is workout night and yummy vegetarian tacos.  Oh!  And picking up our stretched canvases!  Exciting.

How do you say his last name? I always end up soundling like Sam in LOTR saying "olaphants" for the elephant looking creatures.
  • His imdb page says it's pronounce "Ol-uh-fint". But I prefer the Samwise Gamgee way of saying it.

No really it's Ollie Phant, if that helps.

DH got me up early this morning so I could spend time with him and his sister. She left for the airport this morning, and he will be gone when I get home, headed to Talladega. He tells me I have to wait and watch Justified, but he can suck it!

  • Good morning!
I've been not around this week because of some crazy personal stuff. We have a friend who was put in jail over the weekend, so monday I was trying to get his keys to take care of his pets (they had already released his property so a co worker is taking cre of them) and then he tried to call and instead of taking out an account with the colelct call jail people I just went to visitiation yesterday.
There are very many interesting types of people in the jail waiting room. It was kind of crazy. Hopefully today will settle down some and I'll be able to do some knotting. I miss you guys.
Well, I'm off to get ready because I need to stop by FI's before school, he has a 100 degree fever this morning.

Have you seen that tv show "Jail" on (I think it's) SpikeTV? That show is insane. I think I watched like four hours of it on Monday night.

I'm curiously fascinated by the prison system. I'm not sure why. I loved "Oz" when it was on HBO, but "Jail" is cool because you get to see what goes on for real from the moment they arrive. There was this one guy that got arrested for driving under the influence on a bicycle which I found hilarious.

i just remembered that my husband woke me up in the night because guys were outside our house fighting - he said he had never heard the "f*****" word used so many times. oddly, i didnt get up to look out of the window to look though i could hear a bit of shouting. the weirdest crap happens near my house.
  • Morning,
FI and I are fighting, so I'm grumpy.  Grumpy is putting it lightly.  I am so damn depressed about it that all I ate for dinner last night was a PB&J. I was only able to sleep because I took my emergency klonopin and now I just want to crawl under my desk and cry.  It's not even that serious.  It's not like he cheated on me or anything like that.  I guess I'm just taking it so hard because we never fight.  This is the first fight we've had that's lasted more than 15 minutes.  It's not even really a fight.  He fvcked up...I'm pissed...and he won't even talk to me about why he did it or how he plans to fix it.  He claims we'll talk tonight.  We'll see.

Of course the dog senses the tension and in addition to shaking constantly had made it clear that he's firmly planted on team daddy.

I just got through the dog thread from yeasterday.  Holy hell that girl sucks.

YIO-Your sig pic helps.  I love that dog of yours.  More please?

Kim, I'm sorry you guys are fighting. I know exactly how you feel. Just remember to breathe and think before you speak so that you don't say something that you don't mean that could make the situation worse. I hate those fights that last for days. If it helps you feel better, you should listen to Dane Cook's standup about The Nothing Fight. It's hilarious.

Nebb, your neighbors sound like mine. They're klassy. They've managed to keep it down lately, but when we first moved in, it was like their nightly routine to watch the evening news, then get into a knock-down, drag-out fight complete with throwing things against the wall and smacking each other around. I can't wait to move out in September.

  • Good morning ladies or early afternoon. I opened up today at work so I will be putting in a 12 hour shift. My sister MOH sent me an email with the bach party ideas she had. I have to admit I don't really like what she has planned. It kind of made me ugh about the whole thing. Today is my cousin's birthday so we are all going to dinner and drinks tonight to celebrate.
  • Sweded: Fighting sucks. I didn't read about it yesterday, if you told us what the problem is, and you don't have to, but I hope you guys can talk it out tonight. FI and I rarely fight, but when we do, it's big. It usually lasts a day or two, we ignore each other because neither wants to say something that is mean to the other, then we talk it out and get over it. I hope you guys can work everything out and it will all be back to normal.

And thanks, the puppy met the gerbils for the first time without bars between them. He wanted to bark so badly but knew he would scare them away, so he just waited, and eventually one came over to say hi. Their noses were actually touching. After I snapped this pic, the gerbil put her paws on his nose, but I missed the pic.

  • YIO-It's the cutest thing I've seen in a while.  What a doll.  I'm convinced you have a Pit mix there.  That pic should be on a Pit rescue website or something.  Such a big softie. :)

Thanks ladies.  It's tough because most of the time FI is a closed book.  It's so hard to get anything about his feelings out of him that I just don't understand WTF is going on.

Here's the story:  I know that the whole wedding is my thing.  FI would have been happy with a courthouse wedding on a Tuesday morning before work.  I haven't asked very much of him at all.  I'm taking care of everything.  The only things he's been involved in is food, cupcakes, music and the things I couldn't do without him (getting fitted for his tux and his new suits).  So, a few weeks ago I found out that he hadn't spoken to either of his groomsmen about where to get the tuxes or even called them to let them know he's okay after everything that happened a couple months ago.  My brother is the thrid groomsman and I told FI that I would take care of keeping him informed.  I told him he HAD to call them soon about the tuxes and to touch base in general.

FI has always told me that I need to nag him about these things because he is forgetful.  So, I kept on him about it.  Take one GM (the BM) out of the equation because he is just MIA.  He won't return calls or textx from either FI or myself.  This has been going on over a month.  We're counting him out at this point.  So, that leaves ONE friend he has to call.  Finally, last week he told me that he had talked to his GM and everything was all set.  He knew where to get his tux and they even discussed a Bacherlor Party.  So, I thought things were all set.

Well, I texted GM's wife yesterday to find out his middle initial for the GM gifts.  She gave it to me, I ordered them and then she called to tel me not to bother getting him one.  Apparently, FI lied to me about even talking to him.  The GM isn't spending money to rent the tux when he hasn't even talked to FI.  I don't blame him.  The wife was alll  upset that she had to be the one to tell me, but I told her not to worry about it and thanked her for letting me know because I had no clue.  She said he has a nice black suit he can wear if this gets straightened out before the wedding.  My tuxes are tan, not black.

So, I got home and tried to talk to FI.  Mr. Non-Confrontational could only muster "I don't know"s and "I'm sorry"s (half hearted "I'm sorry"s that were clearly just being said to get me to STFU).  THEN he had the nerve to tell me I'm "always on his case".  Really?!  I'm pretty sure you told me to be on your case and I KNOW I warned you that I was going to nag until this got done.  I ended up storming ot and going to my sisters.  I was headed there to meet up for a fitting anyway, I just left early.  I called my brother and told him to not bother renting the tux and to just wear his black suit.  That works out better anyway because he can't really afford the tux rental.  So now FI and my Dad will be in the gorgeous rented tuxes I picked out and the 2? GMs will be in black.  Fine.  Not exactly my vision, but I'll deal.

My main anger is that he lied to me and doesn't see anything wrong with it.  I looked like the asshole to his friend's wife because I had no idea what was going on.  When the FVCK would I have found out about this if I hadn't needed his initial for the gift?!  I just don't see how asking  him to call HIS friend is such a chore.  Now, not only is he not helping, he's added extra things to my list and caused me to lose a whole night of spray painting my centerpieces because I was too damn mad to be in the same house as him.

    Okay...rant over.

Sorry this is so long.  I figured you guys missed AATB as much as I do.  Embarassed
