I have two very good friends who are pregnant right now so it would be fun to be in the same place in life as them right now.  I am loving the small amount of child free time we have left and simply being engaged and wedding planning.  Probably next year at this time we will TTC, it's a bit scary.

I worry a bit after being on the pill for so long 15 yrs that it will affect my cycle & make it hard TTC.

@loves2shop4shoes My friend is now 5 months pregnant she had pretty bad PCOS, she began fertility drugs and after 3 months of that not working she got pregnant from her first round of IUI.  It still happened pretty quick for her. So hopefully it will for you too when the time is right.

I worried about going off, and how soon my cycles would regulate.  I went on BC at 16, and took a break for about a year at 31.  So essentially I had 15 straight years on, and then another 2 years before I went off it this summer.  My cycle regulated the first month both times, and have been pretty consistent in their length.  But I was pretty regular from the day I got my period at age 11.

@cu97Tiger is correct that the synthetic hormones leave your system pretty fast.  How your body reacts to the adjustment in hormones (synthetic or actual) varies for all women. Some ovulate within hours of going of the pill, and some need help to make it happen.  Its really a crap shoot.

BC and TTC doesn't necessarily have me concerned. I'm more concerned with trouble TTC.  Infertility can affect people at any age, and you really don't know until you start to try.  I've had two sets close friends need multiple rounds of IVF to get pregnant, and another couple that has been trying for 3 years unsuccessfully.    Its heartbreaking to watch. H and I are officially TTC, and this is the number one topic that comes up for us.  We really won't know for awhile were we fit in the mix.
    Good luck!!

@cutiger97 and anyone else who replied
I hope my cycle regulates once I'm off the pill.  I never had a regular cycle before it so that is why I was put on the pill to begin with.  I wonder what my original reason for never having a regular cycle was to begin with and if that will be an issue.  My ob/gyn doesn't seem to think I have any issues we haven't done any tests either.  He seems to think it's my low weight for my height...
I guess we'll find out next year!

ETA sorry for replying so late studying sucks...

True! At the same time, you could be like my sister, who barely LOOKS at her husband and gets pregnant :) There's a 20% chance of getting pregnant any particular month if the timing is right. So try not to worry about it too much for awhile. (I know I know, easier said than done @suzie211).
