I'm getting married in Oahu in June 2014. I realize that priests don't do catholic weddings outside church but I've read that there are some exceptions to this rule (like retired priests, priests that consider Hawaii a "sacred land"). Does anyone know where I can find such priests? It doesn't have to be a wedding that the Catholic Church will actually recognize (will be good if they will). I just need a priest/officiant that will do a Catholic wedding in the beach/outdoors.
Thanks!
Re: Catholic beach wedding officiant
I think thats the best way to go abt it-- email the parishes directly and ask for a blessing. It might help if you do the church wedding ahead of time.
