Re: Monday Questions

  • 1) If you could go back to relive one day of your life, which day would it be and why? I think it would be the day me, my dad, and my sisters all went horseback riding together in South Dakota. One of my dad's old high school friends had a small farm with a bunch of horses and she took us out on her land to just go riding. It was a beautiful day and I got to ride the coolest pinto in the world named Cash. I can't think of anything that would have made that day better.
    2) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you ever received? BF gave me a Tiffany's necklace last year. It was intended as a Christmas gift but he gave it to me early because he just couldn't keep the surprise from me anymore.
    3) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you've ever given? I'm not really sure. Usually I just try to give whatever the person is asking for. I think some of the "gifts" I've arranged for my sister for her wedding have been pretty awesome and eleaborate. Her bachelorette party for one.
    4) What is your go-to drink at a bar? Red wine always. I don't drink a lot of cocktails.
    5) Tell me about an awkward dating experience. Probably during this brief relationship I had in college. We were making out in my dorm room and he randomly asked if I was a virgin. When I told him I wasn't he said he wasn't sure if he was comfortable being in a relationship with someone where he knew another guy had been there first. We didn't date much longer after that...
    6) At what age did your SO lose his virginity? I think he was 20. It's been a long time since we talked about it so I don't really remember.
    7) What website (other than TK) do you waste the most time on? Definitely Pinterest.
    8) Do you know anyone who is currently cheating on their SO, or do you know someone who is the "other woman/man"? No, thank goodness. I don't know how I'd feel if a friend of mine was doing that. I think I'd have a very difficult time supporting their actions.
    9) Share a good joke if you have one. Only be offensive if it's truly hilarious. Did you hear about the optometrist who fell into a lens grinder and made a spectacle of himself? Ba dum tsskkkkk
    10) Favorite movie of all-time? Only pick ONE! Memoirs of a Geisha. I never get sick of watching it.
    11) What food would you like to be eating right now? My spinach lasagna I made last week. A really really giant plate of lasagna. Yep...
    12) What is your favorite type/color of pen to write with?? Ball point pen, with black or blue ink. I like pens that write with thick, heavy lines.

    13) What are you day dreaming about today? Ponies...more specifically engagement ponies. Guess I'm not the only one at least. :)
    14) Would you ever date one of your Ex's again? Never ever not in a million years. I can't imagine a better person in my life than my BF right now.

  • 1) If you could go back to relive one day of your life, which day would it be and why? Hm, it's hard to pick just one!  I could live my engagement day over and ya know, say "yes" instead of "maybe" lol..although "maybe" is a lot more me!  Possibly Jul 4 of like 2011ish?  We were in Boston and went to a baseball game (the Os won) and then went to the fireworks.  It was just a great day.
    2) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you ever received? When I was ten, I gave Santa a coupon for this fancy schmancy 10-speed bike I wanted and I got it!  Yea, I was awesome.  That was a pretty great gift!  FI got us a GPS for our anniversary so we can find our way around our new town once we move this year, so that's a good one too :)
    3) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you've ever given? I handmake a lot of gifts.  Last year I cross stitched tree skirts for both of my sisters.  My first sister opened hers and my other sister was all "I want one of those next year!" so on the next round of presents..she totally ended up opening hers, haha.  It was priceless.
    4) What is your go-to drink at a bar? I usually drink sprite.  No, I'm not pregnant.  Strawberry or Mango passionfruit margaritas are awesome too
    5) Tell me about an awkward dating experience. I didn't date this guy, but was fooling around with a guy who ended up only having expired condoms.  I totally wasn't going to let that happen and uh, that ended things quickly.  Oops.  Who checks the expiration?  Yep, I do.
    6) At what age did your SO lose his virginity? 22 I believe
    7) What website (other than TK) do you waste the most time on? Facebook, gmail, pinterest...the norm
    8) Do you know anyone who is currently cheating on their SO, or do you know someone who is the "other woman/man"? Not to my knowledge.
    9) Share a good joke if you have one. Only be offensive if it's truly hilarious. Ellen's last joke for classic joke Tuesday/Wednesday/whatever day it is this year: What did the bartender say to Charles Dickens?  Olive or twist?  Hahahaha...I love Ellen.
    10) Favorite movie of all-time? Only pick ONE! RENT.
    11) What food would you like to be eating right now? None.  I'm full :)
    12) What is your favorite type/color of pen to write with?? I like gel pens that are blue.  But to grade, I like gel pens that are pink or purple or green.
    13) What are you day dreaming about today? how we're gonna do this whole moving thing :)  I'm excited for it!
    14) Would you ever date one of your Ex's again? I only have one ex, and he's married, so no.  He was (and likely is) a great guy, but our future goals were not in alignment at all.
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton
  • ...new questions :)

    11) What food would you like to be eating right now?
a big, fat, juicy, greasy cheeseburger and a blooming onion. I won't let myself have one :\ Maybe for my birthday...

    12) What is your favorite type/color of pen to write with??
    blue ball point

    13) What are you day dreaming about today?
my engagement ring that's hiding in our closet, and my BF. I'm constantly daydreaming about that man <3

    14) Would you ever date one of your Ex's again?
No, I wouldn't. While they are all good men, I left them for reasons and I dont think I'd want to put myself in that situation again.

  • @TwoDimes I love your gift! Go PACKERS!!! I use to own a giant cheese hat, but my dog ate it. Also your joke made my day! I will have to borrow it during our family reunion in Milwaukee this upcoming December.

@cowgirl8238 Your second story… wow… I had a BF that I broke up with because I was moving away (We were in middle school, so no big deal). About a year later he calls me up on Valentine's Day, crying. He starts going off about how he is gay because he will never love anyone as much as he loved me… Yep… didn't know what to do.

@loves2shop4shoes A guy I ever hooked up with had one about that size too. It was… Ya… similar reaction

    1) If you could go back to relive one day of your life, which day would it be and why? Mine is like @TwoDimes. I would not be one day, but an entire week. If I could, I would go back to the last week I spent with my grandma. I would choose any of those days because she was such an important part of my life. When I got there, my grandma had a pouch of betty crocker chocolate chip cookies. We made it the first night I was there. Every morning I would put a new pouch into the spot and throw out the leftover cookies. That evening my grandma would come into the living room and say "We haven't made cookies yet!" and we would go into the kitchen and make them together again. This lasted for the 9 days I was there J

     2) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you ever received? My puppy! I still have her today! Cookie is my baby girl J

     3) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you've ever given? Two years ago, I gave my mom a picture frame for her office with a collage of our family. She cried J

     4) What is your go-to drink at a bar? Snakebite or Rum and Coke.

     5) Tell me about an awkward dating experience High School… the guy (We will call him J) did not have a car. So we walked all around town and got coffee. Well, my parents had to pick us up because of the rain and he smelled so bad! As soon as J got out, the smell went away. I could never go on another date with him again J

    6) At what age did your SO lose his virginity? 19, during his senior year of High School

     7) What website (other than TK) do you waste the most time on? None, I waste my time playing video games or watching movies usually

     8) Do you know anyone who is currently cheating on their SO, or do you know someone who is the "other woman/man"? Yes. But... as bad as it sounds since I know that the person has an STD and is spreading it to this other women...

     9) Share a good joke if you have one. Only be offensive if it's truly hilarious. No Jokes here!

     10) Favorite movie of all-time? Only pick ONE! So hard… I am craving a sitting with P.S. I love You though

     11) What food would you like to be eating right now? I think I would like some Jalapeno Poppers… yummy

     12) What is your favorite type/color of pen to write with? Purple… no blue… no green… or red. How about anything besides Orange, Pink and Yellow?

     13) What are you day dreaming about today? A proposal, I can only take so much torture from my BF! Also, December because BF, me, my mom, my little sister, and both brothers are planning to drive out to Milwaukee to see my aunts and uncles at my Aunt's Christmas party. I just hope that everything works out and that BF can come with.

     14) Would you ever date one of your ex's again? Eh, I don't think any of them are worth dating again.

    1) If you could go back to relive one day of your life, which day would it be and why? Can I pick a week that I would relive? Because it would be the Habitat for Humanity trip that a bunch of friends from college and I organized our sophomore year. It was awesome! We went down to a neighborhood in SC, built houses by day, and played ridiculous epic games of Monopoly by night. It was so much fun.

    2) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you ever received? I have two. First, my dad is like the most awkward gift giver ever, but he gets so excited about it sometimes, especially when it's something big, and he feels like he has to be all mysterious and surprising about it. He and my mom had been looking for a car for me around high school graduation, and one day I came home and he was like, "So we bought you some car mats, but we're still looking for the actual car." And I didn't think anything of it, so I was just like, "Oh, thanks!" and moved on with my life. After a couple minutes he was like, "...Amapola. How do you think we know what color mats will go with your future car???" And I was all, "I don't really know, I hadn't thought about it." And he was like, "Well...we actually bought you a car too. It just needs to pass inspection and then it's yours." And I was so excited and I cried, because dang, it was my first car! Haha, my dad is so silly.

The second one: For no reason, C randomly bought me these stuffed animals that I just fell in love with. One was a giraffe; the other was two pandas that were basically stuck together, a big one and a little one. I gave them names and personalities, and they had conversations with us, and we always had so much fun playing with them. Soooooo many hours of entertainment were had because of those stuffed animals.

    3) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you've ever given? I am not the best gift-giver. I actually really suck at giving gifts. Probably my best gifts are any baked goods and handmade cards/letters I give to people. I always try to make them something they will really enjoy and savor, and I am a pretty good writer, so I always express what people mean to me and how awesome they are.

    4) What is your go-to drink at a bar? Corona or Blue Moon.

    5) Tell me about an awkward dating experience. The most awkward was probably my prom date senior year of high school. He was so nice, but I truly and sincerely thought we were going to prom as friends, and it sooooo didn't work out like that. We were out on the dance floor and he started singing that one Pussycat Dolls song in my ear ("Stickwitu" I think) and just got incredibly touchy-feely. I was like, "Well, might as well give him a chance!" so we ended up going on one more date after that. He came over and picked me up from my house (my dog did NOT like him and flipped out when he came in), we proceeded through a rather awkward game of mini-golf during which we had nothing to say to each other, and finally he dropped me off at home only to follow me into my garage and slobber all over my face like a Great Dane who'd just had invasive dental surgery. (That was my first experience making out with anybody. Sigh.) We just had nothing in common and I could already tell we weren't going to go anywhere, so the next time we talked I told him I just wanted to be friends. He cried. I felt horrible. And then we both met wonderful people when we started college that fall, so we got through it.

    6) At what age did your SO lose his virginity? C and I lost it to each other. I think we had both just turned 21.

    7) What website (other than TK) do you waste the most time on? StumbleUpon.

    8) Do you know anyone who is currently cheating on their SO, or do you know someone who is the "other woman/man"? Nope.

    9) Share a good joke if you have one. Only be offensive if it's truly hilarious. I told the one that @cshiano shared just this morning! I'm trying to think of good ones, but the only ones coming to mind are blonde jokes, and I don't know who's blonde on here, so I'm not telling them.

    10) Favorite movie of all-time? Only pick ONE! Pirates of the Caribbean.

    11) What food would you like to be eating right now?
I have been eating all the foods without regard to what's good for me over the past couple of days. So I really have no cravings right now!

    12) What is your favorite type/color of pen to write with??
It changes with the day! I just like colors.

    13) What are you day dreaming about today?
Getting back together with C. I know I can't right now, but it's still the thing I find most comforting to get me through the day.

    14) Would you ever date one of your Ex's again?
Haha. Yes, I would date C again, but not right now - after I graduate, move out of my mom's house, and have a stable life of my own. And after we both spend some time getting our individual shit together by whatever means necessary.

New question: If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?

Another new question because I'm nosy like that: Do you ever go to dinner or to the movies by yourself? If not, why not?
  • 1) If you could go back to relive one day of your life, which day would it be and why? I'm feeling really nostalgic and lonely (happens when I'm stressed), so I want a childhood Christmas. I want my grandparents. I want my aunts and uncles. I want that joy one more time. My grandparents died within a year and a half of each other about 4 years ago, and I miss them so much.

    2) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you ever received? My parents gave me a nerdy charm bracelet this year for my birthday (off ThinkGeek). I'm sure there were others, but since I'm going to be getting a new bracelet for it this Christmas (the old one is way too long), it's at the top of my mind.

    3) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you've ever given? I gave BF a hand-knitted dice bag, super-accurate dice, and dungeon-building dice for his birthday this year. Nailed it.

    4) What is your go-to drink at a bar? Beer: Bud Light. Mixed: vodka cranberries.

    5) Tell me about an awkward dating experience. Is it weird if I say I don't really have any?

    6) At what age did your SO lose his virginity? I think he was 21-22? I'm not sure.

    7) What website (other than TK) do you waste the most time on? Facebook. Or ProFootballTalk. Or ESPN. Or all three simultaneously.

    8) Do you know anyone who is currently cheating on their SO, or do you know someone who is the "other woman/man"? Nope.

    9) Share a good joke if you have one. Only be offensive if it's truly hilarious. A centurion walks into a bar and asks for a Martinus. The barman says, "Don't you mean a Martini?" The centurion responds, "No - if I wanted a double, I’d have asked for one!"

    It's dorky.

    10) Favorite movie of all-time? Only pick ONE! You'll only let me have one? Fine, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

    11) What food would you like to be eating right now? Oh my god, any food! I missed lunch today, and I didn't eat much yesterday either.

    12) What is your favorite type/color of pen to write with? Black Pilot G-2 07's. I'm not picky at all...

    13) What are you day dreaming about today?
    Successful tests tomorrow.

    14) Would you ever date one of your Ex's again? Yeah, there was one I'd date again. We broke up more due to circumstance than to personal incompatibility, if that makes sense. Kind of a "right love, wrong time" thing.
  • If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? Definitely the fact that my parents were so mean to each other and basically stayed together for the kids. My mom just told me the other day that she knew it was over by the time my youngest brother was 2. 14 YEARS LATER, she moved out. I have more sympathy for her now that I realize what a struggle it would have been to leave him with three young kids, but still. I grew up knowing that their relationship wasn't exactly normal or healthy, but now I don't really have idea what those things do look like. And definitely all three of us kids have some self-esteem issues that stemmed from the way they spoke to each other and to us.

Do you ever go to dinner or to the movies by yourself? If not, why not? Sometimes. It's not my favorite thing, but when I need some serious alone time it is very refreshing. I may have to treat myself to that so I can see that movie About Time soon.
  • New questions from @Amapola14

If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
Wow, that is a loaded question for me. From the time I was 7 I lived with my mom and my (now ex-) stepfather. He was an alcoholic and verbally abusive. If I could, I would change any influence he ever had on my life. I am happy with the way I turned out, but I would have liked to spent more time with my actual father instead of that asshole.

Another new question because I'm nosy like that: Do you ever go to dinner or to the movies by yourself? If not, why not?
I have gone to dinner by myself in the past, but I can't think of a recent example. Lunch by myself is a pretty regular occurrence. One of my favorite "me" dates was when I took myself out for a mani/pedi and then sat at the bar in a sushi place and had lunch alone while I watched the chef make the sushi rolls.  DH isn't a big sushi fan so sometimes I go by  myself :)

  • @KeptInStitches, your joke make me chuckle! :)
  • @Amapola14

If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I would change the childish behavior of my parents. They have always been childish and it was not until recently that I viewed them as displaying "grown-up behavior" for my mom anyways. It frustrated me to no end because I ended up having to grow up fast so that I could take care of my younger siblings. I was 10 and basically raising an toddler.

Another new question because I'm nosy like that: Do you ever go to dinner or to the movies by yourself? If not, why not? Not to the movies, but sometimes out to dinner. I always feel uncomfortable though so I don't like to.

  • New questions (I'm answering my own : )):

    13) What are you day dreaming about today? My wedding in 12 days...I can't stop thinking about it! My brain might explode. Everything is done...and I'm going crazy right now not having much to do.

    14) Would you ever date one of your Ex's again?
Well maybe my very first BF that I ever dated when I was in high school, we dated for like 2.5 years and I was so infatuated with him but we were pretty immature. He is a good person and definitely a loyal friend. I wouldn't trade anyone for my FI though, not even Luke Bryan (blasphemy).

If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
Nothing. I loved my childhood and I have the best family in the entire world. If I could change how I treated my younger sister, that may be one thing. I wasn't very nice to her growing up until I graduated from high school. I feel like we would have a better relationship today if I had been a better big sister to her.

Another new question because I'm nosy like that: Do you ever go to dinner or to the movies by yourself? If not, why not?
Nope not yet, I would probably go to the movies by myself if FI couldn't make it with me but I don't think I would sit at a table at a restaurant and eat alone. I'd just get it to go lol.

  • 1) If you could go back to relive one day of your life, which day would it be and why?
I would relive the day/part of the next day that BF asked me out. Even though I made him wait for an answer, the 4 hour conversation we had after he asked was awesome and I want to relive it. It was like we had been friend for out whole life and could never run out of things to talk about. Also, the time that BF got Auburn football game tickets for free from a friend. That day was just awesome and it just affirmed that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.

    2) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you ever received?
I got a car for graduation. That was awesome. Also, any/all of the things BF has given me. He's good at getting me gifts that I love.

    3) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you've ever given?
Well, I'm awful at giving gifts, so I don't know.

    4) What is your go-to drink at a bar?
Water. I'm too young to drink :(

    5) Tell me about an awkward dating experience.
On my first date ever, I went to a movie with my then-BF. There was a kissing scene in the movie, and god his reaction was awkward. You could tell he felt some sort of pressure to kiss me, but really didn't want too.

Also, one of my movie dates with current-BF was awkward. We both fell asleep (it was a super boring movie) and I woke up with his hand halfway up my shirt (he was asleep). That was super awkward.

    6) At what age did your SO lose his virginity?
    17. We lost our virginity together.

    7) What website (other than TK) do you waste the most time on?
    Facebook and Pinterest.

    8) Do you know anyone who is currently cheating on their SO, or do you know someone who is the "other woman/man"?
    No.

    9) Share a good joke if you have one. Only be offensive if it's truly hilarious.
I can't think of anything, sorry. I'm awful at telling jokes.

    10) Favorite movie of all-time? Only pick ONE!
I don't know. Maybe Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Or V for Vendetta. Or Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Or Airplane. Or a bunch of other movies.

    11) What food would you like to be eating right now?
Nothing. I'm so full from lunch.

    12) What is your favorite type/color of pen to write with??
    Black.

    13) What are you day dreaming about today?
Sleeping. And seeing BF again after not seeing him all weekend. Also engagement ponies (which I think an actual engagement pony would be an awesome idea and I would not turn one down).

    14) Would you ever date one of your Ex's again?
NO. Nonononono. That would never happen. My ex is an asshole.

  • If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
Absolutely nothing. I feel like I've been blessed with a loving, generous, and caring family. I couldn't ask for a better childhood. My parents raised all three of us with fairness and respect and fulfilled our needs and even some of our wants when we deserved them. I'm so appreciated of my parents and everything they've ever done for me. I wouldn't change how I was raised for the world.
Another new question because I'm nosy like that: Do you ever go to dinner or to the movies by yourself? If not, why not?
I think I'd go to the movies by myself but not dinner. I have sat by myself at a bar and had a glass of wine while I waited for a takeout order but that's it. I just can't imagine going to a sit-down restaurant and having a full meal and being waited on and doing it by myself. It seems too weird.

  • @FoxandBunny - major respect on your movie choices! I almost put V for Vendetta as my favorite, but Love Actually won out probably b/c it is almost Christmastime.
  • If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I was spoiled rotten, so if they toned back on that a little bit, it would've helped. I had a hard time saying no to my parents offering me stuff, and they still offer me stuff. I finally realized that they're retired and don't have the income coming in like they used to. My mom was shocked the other day when she offered to pay for some cosmetic dental work that I need done ASAP. I'd rather be in the hole for $2500 then my parents who don't work.

Do you ever go to dinner or to the movies by yourself? If not, why not? I used to all the time when I was single, I LOVED it.

  • New questions from @Amapola14

If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
This is hard because my parents didn't raise me (and I think that gave me a pretty big abandonment complex) but my grandmother did (she was the strongest person I knew but also very hard on me).  I guess I wish I had had more confidence instilled in me and had been more loved/cherished.

Another new question because I'm nosy like that: Do you ever go to dinner or to the movies by yourself? If not, why not?
I have done both, I don't think it is a big deal.  I haven't really done it since I met H unless I'm on a business trip though (because we tend to reach a compromise over where to eat/what to see so we can enjoy that time together).
  • 1) If you could go back to relive one day of your life, which day would it be and why?
This would most likely be the last visit I had with my parents before my dad's stroke. He was the smartest person I knew and had such an odd sense of humor.  His mental capacity is highly diminished now, and that part of him is gone forever.

    2) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you ever received?
H surprised me with my first Louis Vuitton last year.  I heart my pet Lou and think of H whenever I carry it.

    3) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you've ever given?
I gave H and BIL a guided Chicago brewery tour.  My boys love there craft beer.

    4) What is your go-to drink at a bar?
Wine or vodka.  You know it's going to be a good night when I have both.

    5) Tell me about an awkward dating experience?
I went on a date with an attorney I met on Match about 6 years ago.  First date was great so we decided on a second.  The day before I got in a pretty bad car accident.  The hospital sent me home with pain mess and I passed out.  He called to confirm our date and I didn't answer due to my pain med coma.  On my way to my follow up with my primary care doc the next morning,  he calls and leaves me a vm screaming at me for ditching him.  What!?!  Our date wasn't for 12 more hours.  I call to tell him I wasn't going to originally cancel, but now I am bc of the msg.  I tell him about the accident and not hearing his call.  He then asked if he could be my lawyer.  No to that, too.

    6) At what age did your SO lose his virginity?
    I think he was 16

    7) What website (other than TK) do you waste the most time on?

    8) Do you know anyone who is currently cheating on their SO, or do you know someone who is the "other woman/man"?
Not currently, but BIL ex-wife is a nut job and I figured out she was cheating months before anyone else did.  I'm special like that.  Ex-H also cheated on me, and I figured it out the minute I met her.  That was entertaining.  They dated of 4 years until she dumped him for cheating in her one too many times.  Shocking;)

    9) Share a good joke if you have one. Only be offensive if it's truly hilarious.
For my other Chicago ladies -
What are the three streets in Chicago that rhyme with vagina?

    Paulina, Melvina, and Lunt

    10) Favorite movie of all-time? Only pick ONE!
    Pretty Woman
Ha!  Not exactly sure what that says about me.

    11) Add a question if you have a good one!
If you were to open a business, what would it be?

  • I like Suzie's question! I think that someone needs to start a love letter writing business for those partners who need to provide words of affirmation and have difficulty in doing so. Cyrano de Bergerac gone pro, baby. The world needs it, and I would do it if I thought for a split second that I could pay the bills doing it. (I guess you could argue that Hallmark has already accomplished this, but for those who prefer a loftier product, this might do the trick, lol.)
  • @Suzie211 - I would likely open a pet store.  I love to make my own pet treats but my "taste tester" (aka our dog) is a really picky eater so I don't know if my treats suck or if it is just him.  :)
  • cschiano - Thanks! V for Vendetta is an awesome movie and I just love it, even though I normally don't go for movies like that.

As for what business I would open, probably a bakery/bar/restaurant. It would be really cool. Or maybe an interior design studio, but more focused on house details (floors, wall colors, architectural  details, ect.) than furniture.

    I wouldn't change anything about how I was raised I don't think.

  • If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
I would change a lot about the way I was raised.  I was raised in an emotionally and often physically volatile home.  my H was brutally abused by his step-dad, as well.  we both agree that we want our home to be a place of peace and refuge for our family!

Another new question because I'm nosy like that: Do you ever go to dinner or to the movies by yourself? If not, why not?
I have but H and I spend a lot of our free time together, so usually we go out together.

If you were to open a business, what would it be?
If I could open my dream business, I would like to be a registered dietician and work mainly with people who need help with their diets/lifestyles due to medical issues (diabetes, organ transplants, kidney failure, etc.), especially kids.  that is my dream job, and hopefully ONE DAY I'll be able to finish going back to school and do that.
  • 1) If you could go back to relive one day of your life, which day would it be and why? Huh. I really can't think of any individual day I'd relive. Maybe my graduation from college--I wore some really uncomfortable shoes.

    2) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you ever received? My future in-laws got us an AMAZING cookware set last Christmas. I couldn't believe it.

    3) What is the best birthday or holiday gift you've ever given? Originally, I got my best friend a new DVD drive for her computer, since hers had broken ages ago and she couldn't afford a new one. She has a horrible job and is sad a lot, and I wanted her to be able to watch her DVDs. She was so excited ... until she tried it out and realized that she had waited too long, and the new Apple external DVD drive wasn't compatible with her computer.

We returned it and struggled with what to get for her. I wanted her to be able to watch DVDs, but just getting a regular DVD player was a waste of money. After all, in a year or so, she'd probably get a new computer. Her TV is super old and crappy, so she prefers to watch on her computer. We didn't know what to do ... until we realize we could get her a DVD-BluRay player for the same cost as the external DVD drive.

She's very happy with it, and it won't be totally useless if she gets a new computer! In fact, if she gets a new TV instead of a new computer (TV would be cheaper anyway), it'll be even better.

    4) What is your go-to drink at a bar? At my favorite bar, it's cider. At regular bars, it's a Captain and Coke.

    5) Tell me about an awkward dating experience. The first date I went on with a guy from OKCupid went pretty badly. After planning to get coffee together the following week, the guy got REALLY clingy (online). Lots of, "Oh, you should join my school's a cappella group!" Creepy. And then "coffee" turned into, "dinner, then a play, then ice cream." When I joked that I'd aim to show up at 6:15 since we were supposed to meet at 6:30 and I'm always late, he kept thinking I meant we should meet at 6:15. No amount of, "No, I'm just joking, 6:30 is fine" seemed to get through to him. Sure enough, at 6:15, while I was on my way, he called asking where I was. And when I showed up, he had a single rose for me.

It was all too much for a first date, and right off the bat, I knew I wasn't interested. To his credit, he wasn't annoying or mean when I didn't want to go on another date.

    6) At what age did your SO lose his virginity? I think he was 23.

    7) What website (other than TK) do you waste the most time on? Twitterrrrrr.

    8) Do you know anyone who is currently cheating on their SO, or do you know someone who is the "other woman/man"? Not currently.

    9) Share a good joke if you have one. Only be offensive if it's truly hilarious. What's brown and sticky? ... a stick!

    10) Favorite movie of all-time? Only pick ONE! The Princess Bride.

    11) What food would you like to be eating right now? Right now, I want to be eating a chicken dijon wrap from the food trolley.

    12) What is your favorite type/color of pen to write with?? Run of the mill Papermate ballpoint pen in black.

    13) What are you day dreaming about today?
Being FOREVER DONE with grad school.

    14) Would you ever date one of your Ex's again? Sort of. I have a friend who's kind of an ex (we hooked up for a while, and then had this huge friendship break-up). If my partner weren't in the picture, and both this guy and I were single, I'd be pining.

    15) If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I'd like to have been raised in a town with public transportation!

    16) Do you ever go to dinner or to the movies by yourself? If not, why not? I don't. I don't go to movies almost ever, so I'm only ever going to one if someone else wants to. I used to get dinner by myself in the dining hall in college, but I always had a book with me. I recently went to a cafe for lunch alone (like, a legit cafe and not Starbucks), but I brought work with me. Both going to dinner and going to the movies are social things for me, so going alone doesn't happen.

  • Time to revisit this and be totaly late with my responses...

    11) What food would you like to be eating right now?

I would absolutly kill for a big old bowl of mac and cheese with some chocolate milk to drink :)

    12) What is your favorite type/color of pen to write with??

I strongly prefer blue gel pens

    13) What are you day dreaming about today?

Being in a nice cozy bed with my FI and just hanging out together insetad of being stuck at work.

    14) Would you ever date one of your Ex's again?

I would never date an ex. they are all pretty much douches and (as previously told) one is now bi and as much as I support people and their choices I just don't think I could date a guy who was Bi...

    15) If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?

Can I have a complete do-over?  I mean I love my family and all but my childhood utterly sucked and I sometimes wish I had a family that would have actually loved and supported me instead of belittle me.

    16) Do you ever go to dinner or to the movies by yourself? If not, why not?

I have gone to dinner alone twice when my FI was out of town for business for a week and I didn't feel like cooking.  Although I've never done it, a movie alone wouldn't bother me.

    17) If you were to open a business, what would it be?

I would like to do so many things its crazy.  My biggest business dream would be to open up my own Sandwich Shop which focuses on healthy options and locally grown produce.  I would serve other things too (like hotdogs and hamburgers) but I would like to just offer that place that has a variety of foods so everyone in the group can find something they like!
