Bachelorette Party - who is the host in this situation?

Sorry I am a drive by poster here - I spend most of my time on The Bump these days.  Anyway hoping someone could give me some insight since its been awhile that I have been through all this.  I am my younger sisters Matron of Honor.  I however live out of state from where she wants her bachelorette party to be.  No issues as a good girlfriend of hers has offered us her apartment for drinks/food prior to going out and a place for anyone not local to crash. I am about to order the invitations when I think crap - who is the host.  I am ordering the invitations, paying for everything, making the plans, etc, but its her house.  Is it rude to put me as the host?  Should I just delete that line completely and say to RSVP to me.  Thanks ladies.

I would just leave the host line off - just say something like "A bachelorette party in honor of.....date/time/location." If you're putting an RSVP, just put your phone number or email address.

  • Thank for the quick response and best of luck with your weddings.  I am super excited - a weekend away from my two small children is going to be amazing.  I just hope I am not too much of a lightweight!
