@LivLeighton Happy anniversary (weekend celebration)!

Today, I feel like TOTAL crap. I'm immunosuppressed, so I'm really susceptible to colds, and I think I'm getting one. Add in the fact that grad school is exhausting and I've reached my limits emotionally, it's been almost impossible to get out of bed. I'm skipping classes today and just going in this afternoon for a few hours to get some work done.

Tonight, we'll likely clean the apartment. It's not terribly gross, but I am lazy about putting laundry away, so there are clothes (clean and dirty) all over the house.

Tomorrow is our 2-year anniversary. We're going to grab brunch at a nearby greasy spoon, and get dinner later on at our favorite pub. In the middle, we'll probably just relax and play video games. It'll be exactly 1 year till the wedding, which is really exciting! Of course, we've already booked our venue (+catering), DJ, and photographer, we have our suit and dress, and we have an officiant. So it's going to be a somewhat slow year.

Sunday, we originally planned to sleep in and then do nothing (my partner was going to head to his brother's house to hang out), but we might end up going down to his parents' house to help paint.

@minskat30 -I can't believe it either! Everything is done and ready to go, I still need to pay my DJ and photographer next week and put together tip envelopes for the day of but besides that we are done.

Next week we won't get too busy until Wednesday. FI is taking off Thursday and Friday next week and Wednesday all I need to do that day is drop off our welcome bags at the Hotel since our guests arrive on Thursday. I don't think it will all hit me until next week...we shall see lol. I'm thinking it's going to hit me on Thursday when guests start getting here and I know that the next day we will rehearse everything. I'll probably cry...a lot.

Tonight, @suzie211 and her H are coming over to our place for dinner. NOMNOMNOMs. And I am in the process of planning the menu. I hope our not-so-secret plan to make our husbands pals works.

Tomorrow and Sunday I have no big plans, but I'll probably go hang out with my brother at some point.

At some point, I'll continue to look into holiday gifts.

@lmhollister we got Indigo, Ghoooost, and I can't remember the two others - I would have to look when I got home. Amazon had a 50% sale a few days ago on certain games which is when we get them. Indigo looks like Tsuro, which is an awesomely simple game, and I don't remember much about Ghooost besides that it was a Mensa game winner or something.

@LivLeighton Have a super awesome anniversary celebration weekend off!

H is super annoying with this project. I'm really trying to stay positive and upbeat, but I probably will continue to be snarky about my painting partner the rest of this project.

p.s. My nonexistent muscles hurt and I'm starving. #firstworldproblems.

@buddysmom80 How many colors are there? As much as I loooove me some rainbows... Guess what colors we have picked? White for the garage, and greys for everywhere else.
And is it bad that I want to paint one of the rooms upstairs lavender for my nonexistent future baby girl nursery?

@tuarceatha we did our living room in Behr's French Grey or something like that. I copied @motolyn and decided to paint my kitchen the same color as hers. The hallway we're doing a sand color, the bedroom we're doing two walls in a cafe au lait color and one wall in a high-gloss dark purple. The office we're up in the air with since the office is where BF spends most of his time in and he hasn't decided on a color yet either. He's either going to do a green-ish color (yuck) or blue (meh). That room we're painting last since we have to sheetrock one wall and turn it back into an actual bedroom.

In regards to the lavender, that's what I originally wanted to paint our one guest bedroom. When I bought the house, the room was hot pink and my dad was complaining the room was giving him headaches when he visited. I thought lavender would be a nice neutral color, BF said it looked like a nursery so I decided on doing two walls in a bright yellow and two shorter walls a blue-ish color. Parents come to visit and my mom goes "is there something you're not telling us? This looks like a nursery." I swear we could've painted it black and she would've said the same thing!

Today, I work and then try to study by butt off so that I can get ahead in my online classes.

Tomorrow, I work again and tomorrow night some FI's twin brother and his other roommate have organized a small get together to celebrate our engagement with some friends. It should be nice.

Sunday, I will probably sleep in a bit and recover from a hangover from the night before and then off to a short 4 hour shift. Which will hopefully be at 4pm in stead of 8:30am. I think I can get a girl to switch with me!

Well, your namesake turns 9 today! I already had a closing this morning, and lunch with the birthday girl. Tonight we are having a family dinner/birthday at my mom's. Saturday we have the last soccer game of the season, and then a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese followed by a sleepover with a bunch of 9 year old girls. Sunday after they all go home, I might just lock myself in my room to recover!

And poor Q is so busy at work that he's working all day on Sunday to try and catch up before next week.

Tonight I'm planning on just cuddling with the puppers on the couch. My little sister told me they want to adopt her, and I'm soooooo happy that someone I know is (hopefully) going to be her forever home, but I'm also jealous. Does that make sense? We've really fallen for this pup, but we're just in no position to be taking on vet bills and pet expenses right now. Heaven forbid she were to get sick or hurt, we'd be sort of screwed. We really need to focus on the baby, which is why fostering is perfect for us right now. But it's gonna be sad to see her go.

Tomorrow is a barn day.

Sunday, I'm going to shop at a baby/kids consignment sale. I was going to buy a crib and then a friend from the barn offered me the one I love, for free! So, I'm gonna see about getting some clothes, cloth diapers and possibly a glider chair.

Oh my goodness! I kid you not, I have probably 12 swatches of paint on my bedroom walls that have been collecting there for the past 18 months. BF and I FINALLY chose a color and bought the paint this week.

Mine is filled with cooking and baking for my husband's birthday gathering, Which makes me look forward to ALL the food! Tater tot dip anyone? Sunday if the weather is nice I hope to get out for a paddle as long as the coconut allows me to.

@beanbot2002, I didn't realize you fostered! It is such a rewarding and sad experience. I had several puppies and all of them were so unique and went on to amazing homes! Enjoy the time you have with her :-)

I wish I took a picture of our living room before we painted. There was all different colors of grey on the wall! I'm going to say at least 8 colors. Grey is a hard color to nail down though, I kept picking greys that had more of a purple base than a blue base.

@psychbabe314 this is our first foster and she has been a saint! A little destructive, but she's a 5 month old puppy. She's only destroyed her bed, her sheet in her crate, and a ball of Bean's. So nothing major. I had an 11 month old GSD that had zero socialization and destroyed 2 remote controls and multiple pairs of shoes when she was boarded with me for 2 weeks LOL

My weekend is filled with the usual. Sleep and work and nothing exciting at all. I had my interview to become a shift supervisor with the District Manager today and so that kicked off my weekend. Hopefully it'll stay good throughout the weekend.
