Wow... I can't believe she just said that...

I got married on Saturday (YAY!) and I was showing one of my bridesmaids (the one who said she was the "unofficial MOH" to some of my guests "or at least she might as well be because she spent about $1,000.00" on my wedding) a picture of my mom and dad and I. I said that my dad was commenting that he didn't like how far out his stomach was and I said that I thought he, my mom, and I all looked amazing in this photo. She said "well the only reason you look like that is because your dad is covering over half of you!". WHAT??? Wow, thanks so much... At least it was a fantastic day, despite some of her rude comments.

    First off, Congrats!  Secondly, she really should go fuck off.  She sounds like an insensitive hoar.  I would drop her as a friend yesterday.

    Nothing brings out the insecure, jealous bitch in a girl quite like a friend getting married...  She was obviously jealous that you were getting married and that all the attention was on you, not her (Calling yourself the unofficial maid of honor at the wedding and going on about how much she spent on the wedding?  Sounds like someone wants attention) 
    Frankly I wouldn't put up with that.  A friend is someone who wants to see you happy, not someone who tries to drag you down to their level of misery.  You should ditch her, life is too short to waste on "Friends" who are nasty to you.

    Thanks for the responses! I didn't even know what to say when she made the comment! My jaw just hit the floor and I was stunned. Worst part was, she was telling random people at my wedding how much she spent at the shower, and how her mom and my mom aren't friends anymore. She even referenced it in her speech saying "no matter what happens with our moms, we will always be friends". Why would you say that?? Our moms stopped being friends over a year ago, let it go. The good thing is I have 3 more weeks of seeing her at Zumba then I can stop contact with her.

    @LincolnElizabethH I honestly saw the photo before reading the post. Lol. I get distracted like that. Lol. I didn't think anything negative about your father or his stomach and it didn't dawn on me that he has a little extra to love until I read the post. I think that picture is absolutely freaking amazing and you all look wonderful. I would drop this girl like a hot potato and move on. She's not worth the time or energy.
