We met on Eharmony almost 4 years ago. I tried it out during one of their free communication weekends. I was mainly curious since I’d never done the online thing. He was the only date I went on.

We have two fluffmonsters, AKA Kittens. Rocky and Oreo. We adopted them last year and they are so much fun/trouble!

Favorite: Cake..Mmmm cake, the tastings were the best. Least favorite: guest list and transportation gave me headaches.

We knew we wanted spring or fall, this fall would have been too soon and I didn’t want to wait until next, so spring it was, also venue availability.

Colors are purple, green and silver/white

Favorite: Seeing everything start to come together. My dress, bridesmaid dresses, next is MOB dress! Flowers, etc.

How did you pick your wedding date?
We started dating: 2-2-11
Engaged: 3-3-12
Wanted to get married: 4-4-14
Actually getting married: 5-17-14

Our venue will be under construction until May. They said it will be ready May 1. That made me too nervous. The following weekend was Mothers Day and the weekend after what we picked was Memorial Day weekend. Process of elimination I guess

I went to school for Communications and I've been working at Mars (M&M's) for almost four years now doing different things in HR. I actually just found out about that I got my a promotion (FINALLY, after four years!) last week. I'm so excited.

What was your favorite thing to plan for the wedding so far? Least favorite?
It's hard to pick a favorite thing, but I'd have to say the venue - I fell in love with it immediately and never wanted to leave. The cake is a really close second though. That was every bit as fun as it should be.
Least favorite was picking the tuxes. I was so overwhelmed. I'm a really visual person so it bothered me that we couldn't even have him try anything on. But I think we ended up with the right thing.
How did you pick your wedding date?
I always knew I wanted to get married in May and FI had no preference. When I asked the site coordinator about a date in May she said the 10th and 17th were available. My mom made a joke and said we should pick 5/17 because the venue is actually on Route 517 so she would never forget our anniversary and that was that (she also said the ceremony should start at 5:17 but that was too much for me).

White and metallics - silver and mercury glass and maybe a little bit of gold

FLOWERS. Least fave has been guest list because we're keeping it so small.
How did you pick your wedding date?
FI looked at the calendar and saw that May 24th was a Saturday and available, and went, "May 2-4! Yes! I'll always remember that!" For those who don't know, Victoria Day is a holiday Monday in May in Canada, and since it often falls around the 24th, we colloquially refer to it as the May 2-4 (two-four) weekend.
What are your wedding colors/ theme?
Blush, peach, pink tones (all warm), some ivory and some lavender (FI's fave colour is purple), and then grey accents (stone Carriage House, grey suits for guys, etc)

I originally wanted a fall wedding, but didn't want to wait that long so I just randomly picked May. The 10th is Mother's Day weekend and the 24th is my niece's 18th birthday so we went with the 17th. I wish we had a cute story for it, but it was really just logistics.

I loved looking at venues, and I loved shopping for my dress - that said, making the final decisions on both of these was painstaking.
Least favorite - guest list. Brutal. And once it was set, finding addresses... and full names... what a nightmare!
How did you pick your wedding date?
I always wanted a summer wedding, and May is beautiful here in Southern California (June tends to be a bit overcast, and by July it can get pretty hot). Since we have a lot of guests from out of town, we decided to schedule it for Memorial Day weekend (to allow guests extra travel time), and Saturday was taken at our venue, so voila! Sunday, May 25th it is!
What are your wedding colors/ theme?
Colors: Cranberry red, ivory, champagne. We don't really have a theme; I'm going for a classic romance kind of feel - lots of roses, pearl jewelry/decor accents.
What do you do (job/school)? I am a receptionist in a graduate department at a university.

What was your favorite thing to plan for the wedding so far? Least favorite? Cake tasting! That was fun--and we get to do a second one because my fiance wasn't there. Dress shopping was fun too. General logistic things aren't really so fun I would say. Finding a photographer was difficult, and trying to find a hotel to book a block at for our guests that is reasonable isn't easy either.
How did you pick your wedding date? We wanted our engagement to be less than a year, we both hate summer and hot weather, we didn't want it to be too early spring because of snow/ice, we (he) didn't want it to be during the NCAA basketball tournament, and so in the spring our venue had 2 dates that worked in these parameters. One was the same as the big party weekend at our alma mater and so we chose the other.
What are your wedding colors/ theme? My theme is marriage. HA. I'm thinking navy bridesmaid dresses because it looks good on everyone and is very versatile and I really love pastel peach, soft yellow, blush, soft green, and ivory flowers. Overall I suppose the wedding might have a slightly vintage feel due to our venue. And I kind of want to maybe do mint juleps if we can find a pre-made version or a recipe for bulk ones (we can byob) because our wedding is on derby day.

What do you do (job/school)?
A lot: I'm in grad school. I'm an art teacher at a Catholic school 2 days a week. I just got a promotion at my other job; I'm now the Education & outreach Coordinator (aka the entire education, public programing, and outreach departments....basically the work of 4 people, plus administration duties so 5 people I guess lol) at a small house museum. Once a month a do a toddler story/activity time at another small house museum. I have also been doing some private art classes/lessons and babysitting for "pocket money" (aka cash that goes into my wallet and not the bank for bills/saving).

Water. Or tea. I'm getting over a cold from the weekend. Although we ran out of tea at work so I've been making hot chocolate.

How did you pick your wedding date?
I just liked the way 5.2.14 sounded lol! Our "real" anniversary is in Aug, but it's 2 days before FI's bday so I didn't want our wedding to ever outshine his bday. So since most of our celebrations are in late summer and fall, we picked spring. Also cuz of the great weather - not too cold, not too hot!

Colors: navy & light pink. We don't really have a theme, but since we are getting married in a garden I'm kinda going along the lines of a romantic English garden feel.

Favorite: Designing our Save the Dates. We made cute Flow Chart Postcard on WPD. Least Favorite: Figuring out transportation for the wedding party for before and after. Still haven't figured it out. We have booked a big horse drawn carraige for everyone from the Chapel to the reception site, but are keeping it a secret from them. Not sure how to figure out cars for them to get TO chapel, and FROM reception
How did you pick your wedding date?
Living here in Wisconsin it's possible to have snow anywhere from September to April. We picked May 31st so it would be very close to summer weather, yet still have a May wedding.

Finding our venue was incredible. It is perfect for us, our wedding coordinators are amazing girls, and it was easy on the budget, too! Least favorite... definitely working on the guest list. Trying to please everyone is not easy
How did you pick your wedding date?
I always knew I wanted a spring wedding. Spring is our favorite season, with NHL playoffs and the baseball season just starting. I figured April was a bit too cold and rainy where we live, so we decided on May 3rd.

Blush pink, ivory, and gold! We're getting married on a farm so I'm working in rustic details like mason jars, hay bales, and fried chicken, plus more elegant and romantic touches like pink peonies and roses, lace, and lots of gold glitter!

I met my fiance on Valentine's Day almost four years ago at dinner with some friends, and over time we became best friends, and then six months of being best friends he became my first date, my first (and only) boyfriend, a couple years later my first kiss, and now my future husband.

I love gift registry! Which isn't really wedding planning per se, but I love it! Also ring browsing is definitely addictive....
How did you pick your wedding date?
I graduate from my university May 17th, and I'm not crazy enough to try to get married before the two weeks following graduation. Plus, I've always wanted a May wedding!
