what are your wedding colors and do you have a theme?

Re: what are your wedding colors and do you have a theme?

  • We're doing shades of green. No theme. We did talk about maybe doing a literary theme since we met through a writing group, but we decided to keep things simple.

Yeah same here. That's why we went with those. They will be a nice addition to the decor but it will not be easily over done....

Our colors are gray, mint, and lavender. We don't have a theme, but because our ceremony and reception are taking place in a historic building, we are going for a vintage feel.

  • Our colors were purple, lime green and ivory.

We didn't have a theme but we did include some football items since we got married in a football stadium.  If we didn't get married there then we wouldn't have had the football items.

  • Our colors were champagne and coral and our theme was kind of river rocks since we used them for a guest book, chocolate ones for favors, escort cards, and in the centerpieces.

  • I wouldn't say we have a 'theme', but we're going for a very natural, garden feel with a lot of flowers and greenery and natural materials like wooden vases -- should be a nice compliment to the winery setting. For colours, we're doing light pink/blush, coral, lavender, ivory, and then some non-decor greys (guys' suits, stone building, etc).

  • Our colors are navy blue and green (the tone of the "the bump" logo) and ivory instead of white We dont have a theme per se but out inspiration is rustic and modern

  • Plum & Lavender to be technical, but really I just wanted shades of purple and used ivory and silver to off set it.  No theme, but we did use little details here and there to bring "us" into the decor.  We own an auto shop so made the escort cards out of hot wheel cars and the table names were car makes (Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, etc).

FH and I decided on gold and black. No theme, but we want the vibe/inspiration to be New Years Eve/1960s.

We will be getting married in January and we are obsessed with antiques. A lot of our decor is actually from the 1950s-60s so we wanted that feel in for our wedding. We will definitely take inspiration from Mad Men and NYE themed weddings.

    GAH double post

    Wedding Black & White, Sepia
  • Colors: Turquoise and Coral
Theme: Not some much a theme, but the vibe/inspiration (thanks for the wording @hellokellybean) is whimsical carnival. It's not going to be over the top circus at all, but I'm going to make ribbon wands for the ceremony, have some games to play during the ceremony (ring toss, bottle knock over [whatever that's called]), and one of those cut-out photo board things you can stick your head in.

The wording on my invite is "Dinner, Dancing, Frolicking, and Frivolity to Follow"

  • That sounds awesome! I would definitely be into the games!

  • We are using Navy and light pink. The theme is "Awesome". There is a hint of nautical, since I'm in the Navy, and it's a military facility. My sorority also has a nautical themed symbol, which we incorporated a bit.

Our main colors were ivory and black, but when we found our reception venue we added pops of deep turquoise.  The reception venue, which was called the Nouveau Antique Art Bar, was further inspiration for our flowers, invites etc.

The venue was decorated with Tiffany style lights and lamps all over the place, the ceiling for example is literally covered in lights.  There was a mixture of those old fashioned high back booths, tall cocktail tables and lounge areas filled with antique sofas and arm chairs...very Nouveau/Deco so I used calla lilies for floral arrangements and made calla lily with peacock feather bouts and calla lily with peacock feather bouquets.  So it wasn't really a themed wedding, but we added Deco/Nouveau touches to the whole event.

  • Colors are a pupkinish and maroonish and a "fall" theme since our date is late September
  • Our colors are gold, black and neutrals. No theme but our reception is at a historic train station and FI loves trains so there are some train things.
  • Our colors are various shades of blue, white, gray and silver with some bling accents oh and purple technically (MOH had a slight dress issue sooo we changed her dress color from a cerulean blue like the other BM to purple because we could and it was available) The whole decor is being done very winter wonderland type thing. Never really considered it a theme, but I guess it is?
  • We don't have a theme. Our colors are green, purple, and yellow.

Our colors are yellow and teal (maybe more turquoise) it's a blue shade nonetheless. No theme unless simplicity counts?

Also incorporating cars here and there...one in the cake topper.
  • Our theme is a wedding (?) and our colors are black and red with accents of silver/rhinestones since we're having a 6:30pm ceremony.

  • We are using navy, gray, and blush pink. Not into themed weddings personally so we skipped that part.

  • Our colors are coral, gray, black/white (suits)... No real theme but I guess our decor is leaning towards the "shabby chic" feel. I'm struggling with some things because I genuinely do like some of the mason jar decor ideas and it really fits mine and FI's ideas and the venue, but trying to avoid the cliche Pinterest wedding look.

  • Pink, green, and white.

Not really a theme but we are doing a southern rustic elegant wedding.
  • Our colors were white, eggplant and lavender.  Our theme was "wedding."
  • My colors, and we're getting married in the forest.
  • Our colors are hot pink and a turquoise blue with black accents. We don't really have a set theme per se. We have simply incorporated aspects that just say us.
  • Our colors are dark purple and black and we are having a masquerade theme :)
