Re: what are your wedding colors and do you have a theme?

  • No theme but the colors we are going for is dark purple, white, black and silver (grey).
  • We are doing a very laid-back summer thing at a plantation- reception will be in a barn. Our color selection was inspired by a giant sale at Hobby Lobby :) Purple, yellow, red and orange vases that we will fill with white flowers. Hopefully white table cloths with grey runners. BMs are wearing grey dresses and yellow shoes.

  • our colors are viola and malibu blue. Guys will be wearing malibu, girls in viola. Flowers will be all diff colors of purple. Centerpieces will be rotating purple and turquoise. Our "theme" is very non-noticeable lol We have beach themed guest book and cake servers since we love the beach and going there for our honeymoon. That's the only beach part of our wedding.

  • We don't have a theme. Our colors are pastel yellow, navy blue, soft/pastel grey and cream.

     Just can't wait til July 11th, 2015!

  • I wasn't really into the idea of having colors, but a couple months into the engagement, FI told me he really wanted to have colors, and that he wanted dark brown and light blue.  I was like, "Oh.  Okay."  Made no real difference to me, we're not having a wedding party, but I guess it made designing the invites easier?

Honestly, I'm glad he spoke up about wanting something.  His attitude while bringing it up kind of made me feel bad though, he went about it like he thought it was going to be some great concession on my part.  I never meant I actively did not want to have colors, just that I didn't really have much opinion on the matter.  I didn't mean to make him feel like he had to ask for something I was against!
  • grey and burnt orange.  Our theme is vintage railroad...but it's more of an allusion, not a right out theme. FI is a railroader.
  • No theme here either. Our colors are Yellow and Teal with Ivory. Bridesmaids/Moh dresses are going to be teal, and then the flowers will be yellow. Also the water will have lemon and cucumber in it, so there's some yellow there as well.

Our theme is wedding and our colors are red, purple and black. I really want to wear red shoes.
  • How do you decorate without a theme?  I'm confused with colors and themes and trying to plan a wedding all alone on a budget.  I'm not sure about colors yet either.

We had flowers on the tables for centerpieces.  Flowers go with any theme, so that's not hard.  We got married in front of a bamboo arch with tulle and flowers, so again, no theme needed.  I think our table cards had hibiscus on them, since that went with the Hawaii feel.  And for our menu cards and such, we just had tropical flowers and such on them.

We are using flowers and candles on a table. No theme needed for that.  It's not a birthday party.

  • We don't really have colors because we are not having anyone stand up for us so we don't need to match dresses or tuxes to anything. We are getting married in a campsite and having a s'mores theme. We are having a late ceremony and then having a s'mores cake, s'mores bar, and bonfire, but no other food.
  • Sort of turquoise and yellow. I wouldn't call it a theme but since we are getting married close to a beach there will be seashells and starfish on invites, centerpieces, etc.

  • Teal, dark purple, and gray for the colors. Our 'theme', if you want to call it that, is 'simple and elegant'...
  • Ivory, yellow, and light brown. Going for a country shabby chic feel.

  • My colors are red and camel with bright pops of sapphire and green and poppy orange. My theme is "California Vintage" I have lived in California my whole life and so have my parents, my fiance and my fiances parents. I have been collecting vintage California souvenirs, postcards, plates, and historical items for a number of years now including old California textbooks. Since my sweetheart is a teacher it fits us perfectly. We'll have a wine barrel bar, serve lots of delicious Cali grown food, wine and special cheese from my favorite cheese factory in Sonoma. There's an outside patio at my venue which I will decorate with papel picado and put some palm trees and succulents out as a nod to my father's Southern California upbringing. Overall I think I'm going to be very happy when it all comes together.
